Career Highlights:

Brown’s trip to Sochi will mark his first Olympic competition, but he has already accomplished a few impressive feats in his young career, including in 2010 when he became the first skier to win two gold medals (big air and slopestyle) at the Winter X Games. That same year Brown also won at the junior world championships, topped the overall AFP rankings and claimed silver at the Euro X Games - all of it before he turned 19. He reached the podium at the X Games in big air in 2011, won the Dew Tour and AFP world championship crowns that year and also became the first skier to land a triple-cork 1440 in competition. He racked up a few more podiums in 2012, including golds at the X Games (big air) and at Euro X (slopestyle). Brown was sidelined by two separate ankle injuries in 2013 but has been on a solid run heading into the Olympics. He won his most recent World Cup event in his hometown Jan. 10 after finishing first in qualifying two days earlier. The slopestyle field in Sochi will be tough, but Brown has the tools to reach the podium.
