Career Highlights:

After a disappointing Olympic debut in 2010, Brooks is looking for a better performance in Sochi. Brooks’ best finish in Vancouver came in the 30 kilometer, where she finished 35th out of 53. She also came in 38th in the individual sprint, 41st in the 10 km and 55th in the 15-km skiathlon. Brooks, who ranks 52nd in the FIS distance rankings, was part of the team that finished third in the 4x5-km relay at the World Cup in November 2012 - her only top-three finish on the circuit. Brooks’ ninth-place finish in the 4x5-km relay in March 2011 is her highest during the world championships. She won bronze at the 2009 U.S. championships. Brooks is one of three Anchorage women to make the U.S. cross-country team, joining superstar Kikkan Randall and Sadie Bjornsen. While this season’s U.S cross-country team is considered to be one of the strongest ever assembled, Brooks could be hard-pressed to reach the podium at the 2014 Games.
