Rokas Jokubaitis

Scouting Report

OVERVIEW
The Lithuanian left-hander could be a coveted second-round pick for a team looking to draft and stash a player overseas to develop. Jokubaitis does not turn 21 years old until November, and he has shown the ability to play both point guard and shooting guard with Zalgiris of the EuroLeague.
ANALYSIS
Positives: Jokubaitis is a versatile guard with good length, and he projects as a dependable 3-point shooter at the next level. Scouts have praised him for his ability to come off screens and cut to the basket, in addition to his jump shooting, which gives him multiple ways to get buckets. He has good instincts in Europe, which places an emphasis on floor spacing much like the NBA does, and he is considered to be tough.
Negatives: The potential is hard to argue, but Jokubaitis is still very raw in terms of an NBA prospect. He would be unlikely to make the leap to the league next season, and in order for him to advance the following season, he will need to show a lot of growth. His athleticism likely will be below-average if he reaches the NBA, so he will need to make sure that his reputation as a spot shooter and a 3-point wizard hold true going forward.
