Isaiah Todd

Scouting Report

The 19-year-old spent last season in the G League Ignite, which he chose instead of the NCAA to cultivate his skills. He is raw and could be a long-term project, but in terms of body type and athleticism he fits in with today's NBA. He is a big man with versatility who can rely on his quickness to make a difference in the open floor or in the post.
Positives: Todd averaged 12.3 points and 4.9 seasons in the G League Ignite, and he could be an NBA draft pick before he turns 20 years old in October. He already has a wingspan of more than 7 feet, and he can use that length on both ends of the court to generate points and pester opposing shooters. His jump shot is not perfect, but he shows promise of developing into a capable 3-point shooter who can space the floor.
Negatives: Todd has great height and length, but he will need to add some muscle to endure the rigors of an NBA schedule. He also needs to refine his outside shooting. If he is able to do that, he could pay off well as a second-round pick. Regardless, the potential is obvious and the risk could be low for a team selecting in the back half of the draft.
