William & Mary's offensive coordinator resigns

Williamsburg, VA - Longtime William and Mary offensive coordinator Zbig Kepa has resigned his position to pursue other career opportunities, head coach Jimmye Laycock announced Thursday.

Kepa spent 29 seasons on the Tribe staff, including the last 21 as offensive coordinator.

"Zbig Kepa has been a significant part of our success as a program for a long time," said Laycock, who will enter his 34th season at William & Mary in 2013. "I have a great deal of respect for Zbig as both a coach and a person and have no doubts he will prove to be a valuable asset wherever he decides to continue his career."

In his William & Mary career, Kepa worked with six different quarterbacks who earned a total of 13 all-conference honors after the Tribe moved into conference play prior to the 1993 season.

William & Mary is coming off back-to-back losing records, including 2-9 this past season, which was the Tribe's worst mark since they went 2-9 in Laycock's first season in 1980.
