Berkeley, CA (Sports Network) - David Kravish led a balanced attack with 18 points and 13 rebounds as the California Bears took care of the UCLA Bruins, 76-63, in a Pac-12 Conference tilt at Haas Pavilion.
Richard Solomon shot 8-of-10 from the field en route to 17 points for Cal (15-9, 7-5 Pac-12), while Allen Crabbe contributed 16 points and Justin Cobbs had 12 points to go along with a season-high nine assists.
Jordan Adams scored 15 points for UCLA (18-7, 8-4) before fouling out. Shabazz Muhammad registered a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds, while Larry Drew II chipped in 12 points.
Cal dominated from the opening tip, jumping out to a 35-13 lead while completely bottling up the Bruins' attack. The Bears led 47-22 at intermission, their largest halftime advantage of the season. Kravish, Solomon, Crabbe and Cobbs all reached double-digits in points in the opening period.
UCLA started the second half on a 14-4 run to pull back to within 15 points, but Cal responded with nine straight points to regain control.
With the win, Cal head coach Mike Montgomery moved into fourth place in conference history with 267 league wins.
