Final Score: Georgia 64, USC 56
Athens, GA (Sports Network) - Kentavious Caldwell-Pope tallied 25 points to lead Georgia in scoring for the 11th time in as many games this season, as the Bulldogs notched a 64-56 win over the USC Trojans at Stegeman Coliseum.
John Cannon (seven rebounds) and Brandon Morris chipped in with 10 points apiece for the Bulldogs (4-7).
Omar Oraby came off the bench for USC and recorded a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Eric Wise added 12 points for the Trojans (4-8), who remain winless on the road this season.
The Bulldogs struggled out of the gate, as they shot just 9-of-24 (.375) from the field in the opening stanza. Still, they never trailed by more than six points and faced a narrow 28-27 deficit at the half.
The Bulldogs reversed their fortunes in the second half, finding twine on 61.9 percent of their field-goal attempts after halftime to pull away from the Trojans.
UGA made only 2-of-7 3-pointers for the game, but the Bulldogs attacked the rim and their 18-7 scoring advantage at the foul line proved to be a key factor in the outcome.
