Coastal Carolina introduces Williams as women's hoops coach

Conway, SC (Sports Network) - Coastal Carolina has introduced Jaida Williams as its new women's basketball coach.

Williams spent the 2012-13 season as an assistant at Wake Forest and has also been an assistant at Iowa, South Florida and UC Santa Barbara.

"The administration at Coastal Carolina believes in this program and we will work relentlessly to make them proud," said Williams on Friday. "It's a fresh start for Chanticleer basketball. The future is bright and we have high expectations to build something really special here."

Coastal Carolina needed a replacement for the retired Alan LeForce, who spent 16 seasons at the helm.
