Four CBA teams move to NBDL

Boise, ID (Sports Network) - The Continental Basketball Association announced Thursday that four of its teams will leave to join the NBA Development League.

The teams that are leaving are the Colorado 14ers, Dakota Wizards, Idaho Stampede and the Sioux Falls Skyforce. The clubs will be participating in the NBDL next season.

"The CBA extends its best wishes to the departing clubs and thanks them for their contributions to the league," said CBA commissioner Gary Hunter. "The CBA remains a viable option for minor league franchises, players who are seeking to develop and advance to the next level and coaches who are seeking to enrich their careers."

The CBA completed its 60th season on March 27 when the Yakama Sun Kings defeated the Gary Steelheads in the finale of a best-of-three championship series.
