Description: Former Cardinals second-round pick Ryan Williams has reached terms with Dallas on a new contract. SOURCE: Calvin Watkins, ESPN Dallas
Insight: He doesn't figure to see much playing time with DeMarco Murray, Lance Dunbar and possibly Joseph Randle ahead of him on the depth chart. At age 24, there's still time for Williams to resurrect his career. We're just not sure he'll see enough touches to make an impact in Big D.

Description: The Cardinals have parted ways with running back Ryan Williams. SOURCE: Darren Urban, AZCardinals.com
Insight: Williams has only played in five NFL games since Arizona drafted him 38th overall in the 2011 Draft. Wherever the 24-year-old ends up, we doubt he'll ever be a consistent fantasy contributor.

8/25/2013 9:07:00 PM
Description: It sounds like halfback Ryan Williams could be on his way out of Arizona.
Insight: Jason La Canfora from CBS Sports reports the Cardinals are looking to trade Williams ahead of next week's final roster cuts. If Arizona can't find a willing trade partner by the end of the week they may just cut him.

10/8/2012 2:59:00 PM
Description: Cardinals running back Ryan Williams needs surgery on his left shoulder and will miss the rest of the season, coach Ken Whisenhunt said during his Monday press conference. Williams hurt his shoulder late in Thursday's game against the Rams.
Insight: It's a terrible break for a player who missed all of his rookie season with a ruptured patellar tendon and a team already without top rusher Beanie Wells. William Powell has been serving as Williams' backup, but LaRod Stephens-Howling and Alfonso Smith figure to be in the mix. None of those guys are likely to be fantasy options considering how poor Arizona's offensive line has been.

10/5/2012 2:47:00 PM
Description: Cardinals running back Ryan Williams, who left Thursday's game against the Rams with a left shoulder injury, says he is fine and was ready to go back into the game.
Insight: From a fantasy standpoint, Williams had another disappointing night, rushing for 33 yards on 14 carries against a poor Rams run defense. To date, he has not taken advantage of the injury to Beanie Wells and as a fantasy asset his value is still too low to start.

10/4/2012 11:22:00 PM
Description: Cardinals running back Ryan Williams left Thursday's game against the Rams with a left shoulder injury. Williams took a helmet-to-helmet hit in the fourth quarter and was motionless on the turf for a couple of minutes. He did walk off under his own power.
Insight: From a fantasy standpoint, Williams had a disappointing night, rushing for 33 yards on 14 carries against a poor Rams run defense. Arizona's offensive line has been one of the worst units in the league this season both run blocking and pass blocking.

10/2/2012 4:34:00 PM
Description: Cardinals running back Ryan Williams isn't part of Arizona's no-huddle attack yet. As a result, Williams actually played one less snap than William Powell in Week 4. Williams doesn't know the no-huddle packages well enough for coaches to rely upon him, according to Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic.
Insight: Williams will have a great opportunity to break out in Week 5 against the Rams, who are allowing 135.3 rushing yards per game this season, but he may find himself on the sidelines if Arizona decides to run no-huddle again. Only use him as a flex this week.

9/26/2012 4:50:00 PM
Description: Cardinals running back Ryan Williams will carry the majority of the rushing workload while Beanie Wells (turf toe) is sidelined.
Insight: Williams will certain have a golden opportunity to show his stuff and become an every week fantasy starter. The Cardinals aren't going to throw the ball all over the lot, therefore holding down the starting spot could be a huge break for his fantasy owners.

9/23/2012 7:26:00 PM
Description: Cardinals running back Ryan Williams turned in his best game of the season by far Sunday against the Eagles after Beanie Wells left with a toe injury. Williams rushed for 83 yards on 13 carries.
Insight: Both Wells and Williams have been abysmal this season so we expect Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt to ride the hot hand. If Wells misses time, Williams looks like he'll be a worthwhile flex play.

9/7/2012 5:00:00 PM
Description: Cardinals running back Ryan Williams could become a fantasy-worthy starter in Week 1 if Beanie Wells, just added to the injury report on Friday after injuring his hamstring in practice, is inactive for Sunday's game against Seattle.
Insight: If you have the two Cardinals running backs handcuffed, you can wait on your decision until the official inactive report comes out 45 minutes before game-time. If your option is Wells or a player who has a one o'clock kickoff, you will have a difficult decision.

8/3/2012 2:39:00 PM
Description: Cardinals running back Ryan Williams will not play in the Hall of Fame game according to Tariq Lee of The Arizona Republic.
Insight: This is an important player to watch during preseason because, if healthy, Williams will put a major dent in Beanie Wells' fantasy value or perhaps replace him in the starting lineup. Wells is also hurt as is Javarris James leaving the running duties to LaRod Stephens-Howling, Alfonso Smith and Thomas Clayton.

8/2/2012 1:05:00 PM
Description: Cardinals running back Ryan Williams will be a game-time decision for Sunday's first preseason game according to Darren Urban at AZCardinals.com
Insight: It's huge that Williams may already be ready to see action in the first exhibition game after missing all of 2011 with a knee injury. This is an important player to watch because, if healthy, Williams will put a major dent in Beanie Wells fantasy value.

7/25/2012 5:05:00 PM
Description: Cardinals running back Ryan Williams was active for the start of training camp Wednesday, taking 10-12 snaps, according to Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic.
Insight: Beanie Wells was not, which bodes well for Williams' chances to start at RB for Arizona, even if Williams still isn't 100 percent yet.

5/19/2012 11:32:00 AM
Description: Cardinals running back Ryan Williams, who missed his entire rookie season after suffering patella tendon and meniscus damage last August, is already running and cutting.
Insight: Williams was expected to challenge incumbent Beanie Wells for the starting job last season. With oft-injured Wells not yet ready to play following off-season right knee surgery, this could be a wide open competition for the starting tailback job. We will have to watch this one in training camp to see who earns the primary running back role.
