12/14/2014 6:04:00 PM
Description: Panthers quarterback Derek Anderson won his second start of 2014 on Sunday.
Insight: Anderson's 2-0 record would be more impressive if both starters weren't against the Buccaneers. Anderson was 25-of-40 with 277 yards and one touchdown.
12/10/2014 4:07:00 PM
Description: Derek Anderson will be the Panthers' starting quarterback Week 15 against the Buccaneers.
Insight: Anderson's only other start this season was Week 1 versus the Buccaners. He passed for 230 yards and two touchdowns to lead Carolina to a, 20-14, victory.

Description: Darren Urban of AZ Cardinals.com reports Anderson (concussion) still has not been medically cleared.
Insight: Anderson may be able to return to action, but likely only as rookie John Skelton's backup. (RapidDraft.com)

Description: Doctors still haven't cleared Cardinals QB Derek Anderson (concussion) for practice. SOURCE: TWITTER
Insight: Anderson has one year left on his current contract, but we doubt the team keeps him and his $3.9 million salary due next year. That fluke of a 2007 season will no longer help Anderson get a starting job.

Description: Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic reports Anderson (concussion) has yet to be cleared, but won't necessarily start even if he is cleared before Sunday.
Insight: Rookie John Skelton still looks likely to start under center for the Cardinals on Sunday against Denver. (RapidDraft.com)

Description: AZ Cardinals.com reports Anderson suffered a concussion on Sunday and has yet to pass his baseline tests.
Insight: Rookie John Skelton looks likely to start this week against the Broncos. (RapidDraft.com)

Description: Cardinals QB Max Hall has come in for QB Derek Anderson against the Rams. SOURCE: NFL.COM
Insight: After saying he studies hard everyday in last week's tirade, Anderson didn't back up his statements after going 7-for-20 passing for 93 yards and an interception. At this point, there doesn't seem to be any reason why the Cardinals should give Anderson any more chances this year.
11/30/2010 2:02:00 PM
Description: Darren Urban of AZ Cardinals.com reports Cardinals' head coach Ken Whisenhunt said he is sticking with Anderson as the team's starting quarterback in Week 13.
Insight: This is perhaps an indictment of where Whisenhunt thinks rookies Max Hall and John Skelton are in their development. At 3-8 the Cardinals don't have much to gain at this stage, despite being just two games out of the NFC West lead. (RapidDraft.com)

Description: There is belief that Cardinals QB Derek Anderson has "one more loss" before he's pulled. SOURCE: ARIZONA REPUBLIC
Insight: It's not like either rookie backups are any better right now, but we would think the team would pull Anderson simply to see what they have in Max Hall and John Skelton, especially Skelton. We've already seen how bad Hall is. Whatever happens, this offense will still be a disaster.
11/30/2010 11:03:00 AM
Description: Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic thinks the Cardinals may be "one more loss" from a change at quarterback.
Insight: Anderson's post-game tirade when asked about laughing with Cardinals' guard Deuce Lutui late in the game on Monday night won't help the situation. Rookie Max Hall should be under center soon. (RapidDraft.com)
11/30/2010 10:04:00 AM
Description: Anderson went 16-for-35 for 196 yards with an interception against the 49ers on Monday night.
Insight: Anderson's hold on the starting job seems to be tenuous again, and it would not be a surprise to see the Cardinals go back to rookie Max Hall sometime soon. (RapidDraft.com)
11/22/2010 11:05:00 AM
Description: Anderson went 25-for-46 for 295 yards and a touchdown against the Chiefs on Sunday.
Insight: Anderson seems to have a hold on the starting QB for Arizona at this point. (RapidDraft.com)
11/15/2010 12:00:00 PM
Description: Anderson went 23-for-45 for 322 yards with one touchdown and one interception against Seattle on Sunday.
Insight: Anderson appears to have the starting job secured right now, and is worth considering if you need a quarterback in deeper leagues. (RapidDraft.com)
11/8/2010 11:03:00 AM
Description: Anderson went 15-for-26 for 179 yards and a touchdown against the Vikings on Sunday.
Insight: Anderson somewhat surprisingly avoid interceptions and completed more than half his passes. (RapidDraft.com)
11/3/2010 3:04:00 PM
Description: Cardinals' head coach Ken Whisenhunt announced Derek Anderson will be the team's starting QB in Week 9 against Minnesota.
Insight: Rookie Max Hall will go to the bench. Anderson himself is not a strong fantasy option. (RapidDraft.com)

Description: Cardinals QB Derek Anderson will get the start against the Vikings Sunday. SOURCE: FOX SPORTS ARIZONA
Insight: This quarterback crop is just awful. It shows that the team likely wasn't prepared for Kurt Warner to announce his retirement. Anderson is not much of an upgrade over Max Hall with his poor decision making, but at least he will provide better fantasy value to both Steve Breaston and Larry Fitzgerald. At this point, Ken Whisenhunt should see what he has in John Skelton.
11/1/2010 1:02:00 PM
Description: The Arizona Republic reports Cardinals' head coach Ken Whisenhunt declined to name a starting quarterback for Week 9 against Minnesota following Sunday's loss to Tampa Bay.
Insight: Both Anderson and rookie Max Hall threw two interceptions in the game, so neither would be a particularly good fantasy option. (RapidDraft.com)
10/3/2010 5:51:00 PM
Description: Cardinals QB Derek Anderson was pulled from Sunday's Week 4 game just before halftime in favor of rookie Max Hall.
Insight: Anderson had two picks and was completing just 50% of his passes before his benching. One of his INTs was returned for 6 points by LB Shaun Phillips. Depending on how Hall plays, he could win the job and keep Anderson on the bench, permanently.
9/27/2010 4:05:00 PM
Description: Cardinals QB Derek Anderson will remain the team's starting quarterback. SOURCE: TWITTER
Insight: Anderson started off hot with close to 300 yards and a touchdown in Week One, but has totaled a mere 283 yards in the last two weeks. His 2:3 TD:INT ratio in the last two weeks also shows he hasn't improved his decision making much. Anderson could be keeping the seat warm for one of the rookie backups if/when the team is out of playoff contention.
