Description: Patriots cornerback Brandon Browner has been activated from the suspension list.
Insight: Browner missed the first four games of 2014 while serving a suspension for violating the league's substance abuse policy. Although they figure to bring him along slowly at first, eventually the combination of Darrelle Revis and Browner could be one of the league's best pair of cover corners.

Insight: A few days ago when Aqib Talib bolted for Denver, the Patriots' secondary looked to be in shambles. Now after signing Darrelle Revis and Browner, it may be the team's biggest strength. Just a reminder to fantasy owners, Browner will miss the first four games of 2014 while he serves a suspension for violating the league's substance abuse policy.

Description: Free agent cornerback Brandon Browner has been suspended for the first four games of next season.
Insight: So much for his reinstatement. This ban is connected to Browner's violation of the league's drug policy. This could make teams hesitant to sign Browner in free agency.

Insight: Browner was suspended in late December for violating the league's substance abuse policy. The Legion of Boom did fine without him in the playoffs and we wouldn't expect Browner to be back in Seattle next season.

Insight: Browner has said he will appeal the suspension. The 29-year-old will be a restricted free agent after this season.

Insight: The reason it's an eight-game ban instead of just four is because Browner is a second-time offender. Browner was probably going to miss the rest of the regular season anyway because of a groin injury. In eight games this season, Browner has recorded 19 tackles and one interception. Ironically, his replacment in the starting lineup, Walter Thurmond, was also suspended this week.

Insight: If that's an accurate timetable, Browner should be back just before the playoffs. The Seahawks are getting ready to put the finishing touches on their inevitable NFC West title.

Description: Seattle cornerback Brandon Browner "could be out for quite a while" with a groin injury, according to Seahawks coach Pete Carroll.
Insight: Walter Thurmond will take over for Browner at right corner. He'a big-time defense who can cover any receiver and this injury will certainly take away from a Seahawks defense that is ranked third yielding just 15.9 ppg through 10 games.

Description: Seattle cornerback Brandon Browner is out with a groin injury. His return to Sunday's game against Atlanta is questionable.
Insight: It looked like a groin pull. Walter Thurmond will take over for Browner at right corner.

12/5/2012 4:28:00 PM
Description: Seahawks cornerback Brandon Browner has dropped his appeal of the four-game suspension and will miss the final four games of the regular season.
Insight: Cornerback Richard Sherman will continue to appeal his case, so Seattle will only lose one starting corner at a time. Seattle will play Arizona this week who doesn't have a quarterback who can take advantage of the situation.
