Description: Steelers tight end Heath Miller looks healthy again, according to his quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.
Insight: Miller played 14 games last season, but never looked like the tight end we have become familiar with after 2013 ACL surgery. He's one of Ben Roethlisberger's favorite targets and should rebound in 2014.

Insight: Miller also restructured his contract for next season by trimming his cap figure from $9.5 million to $6.1 million. He's one of Ben Roethlisberger's favorite targets and should have a decent fantasy campaign in 2014.

9/24/2013 6:49:00 PM
Description: Pittsburgh tight end Heath Miller (knee) still could be on a snap count in Week 4, according to Scott Brown of ESPN.
Insight: Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said how Miller does in practice this week will dictate how much he plays Sunday against the Vikings. Miller is nothing more than a TE2 for now.

9/20/2013 2:20:00 PM
Description: Pittsburgh tight end Heath Miller practiced fully for the third straight day on Friday and he could play Sunday night against Chicago.
Insight: Miller had been having a career year in 2012 before a torn ACL ended his season in Week 16. Now almost nine months removed from surgery, it looks like his knee is finally healthy again. Expect him to play a role in Sunday's game against the Bears, though he may be on a play limit.

Insight: Miller had been having a career year in 2012 before a torn ACL ended his season in Week 16. Now almost nine months removed from surgery, it looks like his knee is finally healthy again. Expect him to play a significant role in Sunday's game against the Bears, especially if the Steelers get behind and are forced to air it out in the second half.

9/14/2013 2:28:00 PM
Description: Steelers tight end Heath Miller is practicing on a limited basis, but is not expected to play in Week 2.
Insight: Miller tore his ACL at the tail end of last season and is expected to make his 2013 debut around Week 6. The 30-year-old generated a new career-high in receiving yards last season (816 yards in 15 games).

Description: Steelers tight end Heath Miller is officially listed as doubtful, but is not expected to play for a couple of weeks at best.

9/2/2013 9:44:00 AM
Description: The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review is suggesting that Steelers tight end Heath Miller could return to game action in about a month or so.
Insight: He wasn't placed on the PUP list, which is obviously a good sign. Miller tore his ACL at the tail end of last season and still isn't practicing. The 30-year-old generated a new career-high in receiving yards last season (816 yards in 15 appearances).

8/31/2013 4:25:00 PM
Description: The Steelers have activated Heath Miller from the active/PUP list.
Insight: Miller still might miss all of September after suffering a tear of three ligaments in his knee last season, but the Steelers are keeping their options open. If they placed him on the reserve/PUP list, he would have to miss the first six weeks.

8/27/2013 5:30:00 PM
Description: According to Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Steelers TE Heath Miller (knee) is likely to come off the PUP list prior to Saturday's deadline.
Insight: Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said Miller is looking "great," but after suffering a tear of three ligaments in his knee last season, Miller's timeline is still uncertain. There are plenty of tight ends who can offer the same production as a healthy Miller, so there's no reason to rely on him in standard one-TE formats. Even if Miller comes off the PUP list, there's no guarantee he'll be ready for Week 1, 2 or 3.

8/18/2013 5:19:00 PM
Description: According to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, Steelers TE Heath Miller (knee) probably won't be back for the first month of the season.
Insight: Miller suffered a tear of three ligaments in his knee last season, so his timeline is still uncertain, but he appears likely to miss at least the first four games before returning following in Week 6 at the New York Jets following Pittsburgh's Week 5 bye.

Description: There doesn't appear to be a timetable for Heath Miller's return from an ACL injury. SOURCE: Pittsburgh Tribune-Review
Insight: The Steelers tight end has been placed on the active/PUP list and there's no indication he'll be activated from it any time soon. David Paulson should see most of the snaps at tight end in his absence.

7/23/2013 7:37:00 PM
Description: No one in the Steelers organization knows when tight end Heath Miller (torn ACL, MCL, PCL) will be ready to play this season, according to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.
Insight: Miller, who led Pittsburgh with 71 receptions last season, tore all three ligaments in his knee on Dec. 23 and had surgery on Jan. 2. With Mike Wallace gone and Miller on the mend, Antonio Brown and Emmanuel Sanders will both be heavily involved in the passing game at the start of the season. Matt Spaeth is the backup tight end, but he's just a blocker with little fantasy value.

6/16/2013 4:06:00 PM
Description: Pittsburgh tight end Heath Miller (ACL, MCL, PCL) likely won't be ready for Week 1, according to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.
Insight: Miller tore all three ligaments in his knee on Dec. 23 and had surgery on Jan. 2, so it really isn't a surprise that he won't be ready. Matt Spaeth is the No. 1 tight end for now, but he's just a blocker with little fantasy value.

12/27/2012 11:16:00 AM
Description: Pittsburgh tight end Heath Miller will have surgery to repair a torn ACL on Thursday.
Insight: Miller was just selected to his second Pro Bowl but obviously, he won't be able to play in it. Adrian Peterson's outstanding performance less than a year after ACL surgery should give fantasy owners hope for Miller in 2013.

12/24/2012 1:30:00 PM
Description: Steelers tight end Heath Miller will miss Sunday's game against Cleveland with an anterior cruciate ligament and medial collateral ligament injury that will require season-ending surgery.
Insight: Miller caught 71 balls for 816 yards and eight touchdowns this season, the latter two being career highs. He had moved up to become a productive starting fantasy tight end.

12/17/2012 8:48:00 PM
Description: Steelers tight end Heath Miller is averaging 79.5 yards over the last four games. He has 68 catches for 771 yards this season.
Insight: Miller caught seven passes for 92 yards and a touchdown Sunday against Dallas. He has eight touchdowns this season, a career high, and his career bests in catches (76) and yards (789) are in reach.

10/22/2012 11:29:00 PM
Description: Steelers tight end Heath Miller already has five touchdowns in six games. He had four in the previous two seasons combined.
Insight: Miller has had renewed fantasy relevance this season after two lackluster campaigns. Continue to play him as a low-level TE1.

1/17/2011 11:03:00 AM
Description: Miller has caught a touchdown pass in consecutive games after grabbing just one in his previous 13 outings this season.
Insight: The tight end enjoyed a huge 2009 with Ben Roethlisberger around all year but never really got going this season, when he had to deal with Roethlisberger's suspension and his own nagging injuries. Miller doesn't have a high fantasy ceiling against the Jets but is always capable of finding the end zone. (RapidDraft.com)
