Tempe, AZ (Sports Network) - The Arizona Cardinals released wide receiver Early Doucet on Saturday.

Doucet started in three of the 12 games he appeared in last season. He had 28 catches for 207 yards. In five seasons with the Cardinals (2008-12), Doucet had 139 receptions for 1,491 yards and seven touchdowns in 54 regular season games (14 starts).

The Cardinals also announced they have tendered a one-year qualifying contract offer to restricted free agent quarterback Brian Hoyer. The team also extended offers to three exclusive rights free agents: running backs William Powell and Alfonso Smith, and defensive end Ronald Talley.
