MLB Draft Profile - Mikie Mahtook
From The Sports Network

Position: Outfield

College: Louisiana State

Height: 6-1

Weight: 200

NOTES:
Mahtook has a great baseball body at 6-1, 200 pounds and also played football...The athletic Mahtook can hit to all fields with his strong swing and has the makeup of an athlete since his father and uncle both played football for the Tigers. Mahtook's other uncle was a gridiron great for UL- Lafayette...Mahtook is mostly a pull hitter much like Ben Francisco of the Phillies, but has average arm strength...Can run the bases well and could be a solid No. 3 or 5 hitter in most lineups. Projected to be gone by the end of the first round, Mahtook helped LSU to the College World Series championship back in 2009 as a freshman. He was named to the Collegiate Baseball newspaper second-team all-America squad back in December and was a leader in most SEC categories a year ago. He also helped guide the U.S. Collegiate National Team to the silver medal at the World University Championships in Tokyo.
