Description: The Senators and rookie goaltending sensation Andrew Hammond agreed to a three-year, $4.05 million contract.
Insight: Hammond led Ottawa to one of the most improbale playoff run, going 20-1-2 with a 1.79 GAA and .941 save percentage in 24 games. He didn't play as well in the playoffs, but it is hard to ignore the success he had during the regular season. Ottawa also has goaltenders Craig Anderson and Robin Lehner under contract, so look for one of them to be traded this summer.

Description: Senators goaltender Andrew Hammond made 39 saves in the Game 2 Eastern Conference Quarterfinals loss to the Canadiens on Friday.
Insight: Hammond allowed three very makable saves, which was disappointing as the Senators were very close to stealing a game in Montreal. Hammond allowed the game-winner in overtime on a shot that went through his arm. It's not like Hammond has been bad, but he will have to be better if Ottawa is going to comeback from the 2-0 deficit versus Montreal.

Insight: Hammond made 26 saves and has been a savior for Ottawa and fantasy owners as well. He is now 19-1-2 overall.

Insight: This was a game Ottawa really needed, but at least they still got a point. With Pittsburgh and Detroit losing on Sunday, Ottawa is just two points behind both those teams with three games to play. The Senators and Penguins will play on Tuesday. Hammond is now 17-1-2 this season.

Description: Senators goaltender Andrew Hammond won again on Thursday, beating the Lightning, 2-1, in overtime.
Insight: This was a very well played defensive game as there were no goals for over 47 minutes. The only goal Hammond allowed was a power-play goal in the first period. He made 28 saves and is now 16-1-1 this season.

Description: Senators goaltender Andrew Hammond responded to his worse loss in the NHL by allowing just one goal in the, 2-1, shootout victory over the Red Wings on Tuesday.
Insight: Hammond only faced 17 shots, so the save percentage wasn't off the charts, but it was a very solid .941. He stopped two of four shootout attempts from Detroit. Hammond should make a majority of the starts left for Ottawa with the Senators pushing for a playoff spot.

Insight: He's an impressive 14-1-1 even after Thursday's loss to the Rangers. Expect him to be back out there on Saturday against Toronto as the Senators make their playoff push.

Insight: It was bound to happen, and Hammond was actually pulled in the second period after allowing five goals on 22 shots. He is still an impressive 14-1-1.

Insight: Hammond is 14-0-1 in his first 15 starts in the NHL. Entering Monday's game versus the Sharks, he had a 1.65 GAA and .947 save percentage. Ottawa beat San Jose, 5-2, and Hammond made 29 saves in the victory.

Insight: He help defeat Carolina in OT by stopping 35-of-36 shots on goal. Hammond needs to active everywhere, as he is now 11-0-1 overall.

Insight: Hammond stopped 24-of-26 shots in the victory over the Sabres Friday. He took over the starting role on Feb. 18 and hasn't looked back. Since then, the Senators have won seven of eight with Hammond going 7-0-1 with two shutouts.

Insight: Hammond has made the last seven starts for Ottawa and is 6-0-1 in the stretch. All the sudden, the Senators are only four points out of the last playoff spot. Hammond made 35 saves on Wednesday and allowed just one third period goal in the, 3-1, victory.

Insight: Hammond took over in net on Feb. 16 and promptly won his first five starts, leading Ottawa on a five-game winning streak. The Senators have picked up 16 points in their last 10 games to stay alive in the playoff race. If owners need goalie help, Hammond can provide some.

Insight: Hammond is not a relevant fantasy option, but has yet to lose during his first two starts (2-0-0). He made 21 saves on 22 shots to help Ottawa defeat the Panthers. At the very least, Hammond likely earned himself a few more starts.

Insight: Hammond stopped 42-of-44 save opportunities as he was rushed into duty with fellow goaltenders Craig Anderson and Robin Lehner out with injuries. He is not yet fantasy relevant in standard leagues, but he should be on the radar of daily fantasy owners.
