Description: Bob McKenzie of TSN reports that the Maple Leafs have put center Tim Connolly on waivers.
Insight: If he ends up signing with another team it will be Connolly's third different club in the last three seasons. Connolly posted 13 goals and 23 assists in 70 games in 2011-12.

11/7/2011 6:12:00 PM
Description: Tim Connolly is expected to miss between 10-14 days with an upper-body injury. TSN
Insight: This injury is not believed to be related to the one Connolly suffered earlier this season. Present and past Connolly owners should know all too well the laundry list of injuries that he has suffered through the years.

10/6/2011 1:40:00 AM
Description: The Toronto Maple Leafs have placed Tim Connolly on injured reserve with an upper-body injury. TSN
Insight: Connolly is already on IR, even though he hasn't even played a regular-season game for the Leafs. If you've followed his career, it's not like you didn't see this one coming.

7/3/2011 1:13:00 AM
Description: The Toronto Maple Leafs have signed Tim Connolly to a two-year contract worth $9.5 million. TSN
Insight: After failing to land Brad Richards, the Leafs continued shopping for a center that could play alongside Phil Kessel. Connolly is mainly an assist guy, so he could work out well with the shoot-at-all-costs Kessel. Connolly has battled a long list of injuries throughout his career, however.

4/24/2011 7:50:00 PM
Description: Tim Connolly left Sunday's game against Philadelphia in the second period after being hit from behind by Mike Richards. TSN
Insight: Connolly was hit headfirst into the boards by Richards, who received only a two-minute boarding penalty. Connolly has had numerous concussions during an injury-plagued career, so there's a good chance that he won't suit up for Game 7 on Tuesday.

1/23/2011 12:53:00 PM
Description: Tim Connolly has been placed on injured reserve with a hip flexor and will miss at least the next two games. Buffalo News
Insight: Fantasy owners have become all too familiar with Connolly's injury history over the years. Expect him to be rested through the All-Star break and possibly longer.

12/27/2010 3:56:00 PM
Description: Sabres coach Lindy Ruff said that Tim Connolly will likely return to the Sabres' lineup on Saturday. Buffalo News
Insight: Ruff said that Connolly would not play on Monday in Calgary or on Tuesday in Edmonton. When Connolly returns, he will be expected to fill the scoring void left by the injured Derek Roy, so expect him to see a ton of icetime.

12/20/2010 3:18:00 PM
Description: Tim Connolly will undergo reconstructive nose surgery, although the Sabres hope that he'll be out of the lineup for only a week. Buffalo News
Insight: Connolly's nose was badly fractured during Saturday's game, although he returned wearing a full face shield. Add this injury to the long list of injuries that Connolly has had throughout his career. Keep him on your bench this week.

12/18/2010 11:02:00 AM
Description: Connolly scored his sixth goal of the season and first since coming back from injury on Friday night against the Panthers.
Insight: Connolly now has 14 points on the year with six goals and eight assists. (RapidDraft.com)

12/15/2010 8:05:00 PM
Description: Tim Connolly, Drew Stafford, and Rob Niedermayer all returned to the Sabres' lineup on Wednesday against Boston. NESN
Insight: The return of the three Sabres' forwards should help the team's scoring attack, which has underachieved this season.

11/23/2010 3:24:00 PM
Description: Tim Connolly will miss Wednesday's game against Pittsburgh with a groin injury. Buffalo News
Insight: Connolly was forced to leave practice on Monday, and he is listed as day-to-day. He has a lengthy history of injuries, so don't be surprised if he misses more than one game.

10/23/2010 1:10:00 AM
Description: Tim Connolly scored both Sabres' goals in their 4-2 loss to Ottawa on Friday. TSN
Insight: Connolly had been unimpressive prior to this game, scoring just one goal in his seven previous games. His struggles this season have mirrored that of his team, which is winless in five games at home.
