4/7/2013 1:19:00 PM
Description: Blues forward Andy McDonald was a late scratch due to the flu.
Insight: McDonald has four goals and 15 points in 26 games this season but the Blues' depth at forward prevents any of their players from being reliable fantasy options.

3/19/2013 10:35:00 AM
Description: Blues forward Andy McDonald has been activated from the injured reserve (left knee) and is expected to return on Tuesday.
Insight: McDonald hasn't played in about a month, but did produce 11 points (3 G, 8 A) in 18 games before the injury.

2/27/2013 4:37:00 PM
Description: Blues forward Andy McDonald has been placed on injured reserve with a left knee injury, according to Blues.nhl.com
Insight: McDonald went down in Tuesday's practice and is considered week-to-week. McDonald has been skating on the second line with Vladimir Tarasenko and Alex Steen, who are all currently injured. Look for Chris Stewart, Vladimir Sobotka and Patrik Berglund to form the No. 2 line for St. Louis going forward unless Steen's head injury proves to be minor, in which case he would replace Berglund.

2/26/2013 5:03:00 PM
Description: Blues forward Andy McDonald had to be helped off the ice during Tuesday's practice and eventually limped to the locker room, according to Lou Korac of NHL.com.
Insight: McDonald got tangled up with another player and suffered an undisclosed lower-body injury. Alex Steen was also injured, taking a stick to the face. Blues coach Ken Hitchcock said he would know more about both players Wednesday.

3/29/2012 10:05:00 PM
Description: Andy McDonald is expected to return from his shoulder injury Saturday night against Columbus.
Insight: McDonald has racked up 19 points in his 21 games this season, so McDonald is a must-start when he is on the ice, bad shoulder or not.

10/14/2011 12:31:00 PM
Description: Andy McDonald will be sidelined indefinitely with a head injury from Thursday's game against Dallas. Belleville News-Democrat
Insight: McDonald has had concussion issues before, so the Blues will probably keep him sidelined for awhile. Look for another option for the rest of this week and next week.

3/8/2011 1:46:00 AM
Description: Andy McDonald scored two goals in the Blues' 5-4 shootout win over Blue Jackets on Monday. Yahoo Sports
Insight: Since returning from injury a month ago, McDonald has been a dependable scorer for fantasy teams. He rode a seven-game point streak during February and has multiple points in back-to-back games. He could be a worthwhile option if he is available in your league.

2/15/2011 12:07:00 AM
Description: Andy McDonald scored a power-play goal and added an assist in the Blues' 3-2 win over Vancouver on Monday. Yahoo Sports
Insight: The Blues' power play, which is one of the worst in the league, went 2-for-5 in this game. McDonald has multiple points in two of his last three games, so he might be an easy-to-find source of points from your league's waiver wire.

2/2/2011 4:53:00 PM
Description: The St. Louis Blues have activated forward Andy McDonald from injured reserve. TSN
Insight: McDonald has missed the past 24 games with a concussion. He is expected to be in the Blues' lineup for Friday's game against Edmonton, so check to see if he is available from your league's waiver wire.

12/28/2010 1:44:00 PM
Description: Blues GM Doug Armstrong said that both Andy McDonald and David Perron are still not symptom-free from concussions. St. Louis Post-Dispatch
Insight: Since both players are still not symptom-free, they still don't have timetables on when they will return to the lineup. Continue to keep both players on IR or on your waiver wire. Their injury situations would have factored into the recent Marek Svatos signing.

Description: Andy McDonald will be sidelined indefinitely with a concussion. BND.com
Insight: McDonald was injured during Saturday's game in Edmonton and missed Sunday's game against Vancouver. Expect him to be sidelined for the rest of the week at a minimum and likely more.

Description: Andy McDonald will miss Sunday's game against Vancouver with a possible head injury. St. Louis Post-Dispatch
Insight: McDonald's head hit Shawn Horcoff's knee during a collision in Saturday's game in Edmonton. Blues GM Doug Armstrong will address McDonald's status before Sunday's game, meaning that McDonald will likely miss time with the injury. Keep the Blues' leading scorer reserved for Sunday and for next week.

11/27/2010 12:04:00 PM

Description: McDonald scored his first goal of the season on Monday in a win over the Ducks.
Insight: McDonald's goal ended up being the game winning goal as he got on the board for the first time this year. (RapidDraft.com)

9/15/2010 11:29:00 PM
Description: The St. Louis Blues are planning to move Andy McDonald back to center and teammate David Backes back to right wing. St. Louis Post-Dispatch
Insight: McDonald has spent much of the past two seasons at left wing, while Backes has played center, although their positional eligibilities in fantasy hockey don't necessarily reflect that. Both players should be available as wingers this season, although McDonald could benefit points-wise from a move back to his natural position.

9/15/2010 8:01:00 PM
Description: Andy McDonald could move back to center during training camp.
Insight: Having skated at left wing for the last two seasons, the Blues are considering swapping McDonald and David Backes. McDonald's best seasons came at center, so this could be world keeping an eye one. (RapidDraft.com)
