ranked North American skater by NHL scouting and is the fourth blueliner on
that list...Although he is considered to be more of a stay-at-home defenseman,
Maatta led all OHL rookie defensemen in 2011-12 with 32 points (5G, 27A) in 58
games...Also turned in a super postseason for the Knights in 2012, recording
six goals and 23 points over 19 games for the OHL champions...Smooth skater
with a strong shot that scouts complain he doesn's use enough. |
