Description: Tommy Wandell is expected to center Dallas' second line in between Ray Whitney and Michael Ryder. That spot was vacated by Derek Roy, who will move up to the top line in place of RFA Jamie Benn. SOURCE: Dallas Morning News
Insight: Benn had 63 points (26 G, 37 A) in 71 games last season and was expected to center the top line with Loui Eriksson and Jaromir Jagr this season but he remains unsigned. Roy had 17 goals and 27 assists in 80 games last season but also wasn't playing with the newly-signed Whitney, who helped set up Radim Vrbata for 35 goals last season with Phoenix. Wandell could better Roy's 2011-12 numbers as the second-line center with Whitney as a line-mate.
