Description: Oilers goalie Ben Scrivens replaced starter Viktor Fasth after he allowed three goals in the first period Tuesday, and Scrivens held the Predators scoreless the rest of the game.

Description: Oilers goalie Ben Scrivens played well in Friday's loss to Vancouver.
Insight: He stopped 28-0f-29 shots, but is now 0-3 with a 4.10 goals against average, and a .848 save percentage. Scrivens should be on waivers, or at best on fantasy owners' benches.

Hot3/5/2014 10:09:00 AM
Description: Oilers goalie Ben Scrivens has gone 4-4-0 with a 2.13 GAA and a .941 SV% since joining Edmonton.
Insight: Scrivens is doing some amazing things in the Oilers' net despite having one of the worst defensive teams in the NHL in front of him. He was equally as strong with the Kings, a much better defensive team, earlier this season and leads the NHL with a .935 SV%.

1/16/2014 10:39:00 PM
Description: Ben Scrivens allowed four goals on 33 shots in his first start with Edmonton Thursday at Minnesota.
Insight: Newsflash: the Los Angeles Kings' defense is very good, Edmonton's isn't. Scrivens won't even touch the 1.97 GAA and .931 SV% he posted with the Kings.

Description: Devan Dubnyk wasn't the answer in Edmonton. The Oilers are hoping Ben Scrivens, who they acquired from the Kings on Wednesday for a third round pick, will be. SOURCE: Oilers on Twitter
Insight: Scrivens was unlikely to re-sign with Los Angeles in free agency so the Kings, already equipped with Jonathan Quick and Martin Jones between the pipes, decided to get something for him now instead of losing Scrivens for nothing in a few months. Scrivens figures to be the backup behind Ilya Bryzgalov in Edmonton. Dubnyk, the Oilers' previous backup, was dealt to Nashville earlier today.

Hot11/19/2013 6:22:00 PM

Insight: Scivens has gone 3-0 with two shutouts since taking over for Jonathan Quick (groin) in net. Quick will miss 4-6 weeks with his injury and Scrivens is a must-add.

11/15/2013 9:44:00 PM
Description: Los Angeles netminder Ben Scrivens went 26-for-26 in save opportunities Friday in a shutout win over New Jersey.

Description: Toronto goaltender Ben Scrivens bounced back from a rough start Tuesday by holding Buffalo to one goal on 32 shots Thursday night.
Insight: Scrivens allowed four goals on 13 shots in 47 minutes against Tampa Bay Tuesday but he was playing a back-to-back and his third game in four days. The two games before Tuesday were both shutouts. Scrivens has at least earned an even split with James Reimer when Reimer returns from his injury.

Insight: Scrivens was playing his third game in four nights and facing a much tougher opponent than the last two games. He will likely go back to splitting starts when James Reimer returns from a knee injury.
