Description: Brendan Morrison scored two goals and added two assists in the Flames' 7-6 win over Carolina on Tuesday. TSN
Insight: Morrison has missed a good portion of the season with a knee injury. He entered this game with only one point in his first ten games, so it's unlikely that you would have had him in your fantasy lineup. However, Mo could hold some value if he continues to center Jarome Iginla, who scored three points of his own in this game.

Description: Brendan Morrison is expected to return to the Flames' lineup on Wednesday against Detroit. TSN
Insight: Morrison needed more time to recover from offseason knee surgery. He has no points in eight games, so he probably shouldn't be considered for fantasy teams.
7/15/2011 7:02:00 PM
Description: The Calgary Flames have re-signed Brendan Morrison to a one-year contract worth $1.25 million. TSN
Insight: Morrison was a decent source of points for the Flames in his first season in Calgary, scoring 43 points (9g-34a) in just 66 games. He can still be effective if he manages to stay healthy.
4/9/2011 4:54:00 PM
Description: Brendan Morrison will undergo left knee surgery on Tuesday. TSN
Insight: Morrison's knee was injured during a game against Chicago last week. He will be a free agent in the offseason and will be hoping to sign somewhere.

Description: Brendan Morrison is expected to miss the next 2-3 weeks because of swelling in his knee. Calgary Herald
Insight: B-Mo had been experiencing some success centering Jarome Iginla and Alex Tanguay on the Flames' top line. He will be reassessed in two or three weeks when the swelling subsides, so there are no guarantees that he will return at all this season.
3/4/2011 4:33:00 PM
Description: Brendan Morrison will not play in Friday's game against Columbus because of a knee injury. TSN
Insight: As a result, the Flames will move Alex Tanguay to the center position between Jarome Iginla and Rene Bourque. Morrison, who suffered a knee injury during Wednesday's game against Chicago, has been a point-per-game player since late January.

Description: Brendan Morrison scored two goals in the Flames' 5-4 shootout win over Edmonton on Tuesday. Yahoo Sports
Insight: One of Morrison's goals was on the power play, while the other goal was shorthanded. Like his Flames team of late, Morrison has been on fire with nine points (3g-6a) in nine games, including points in five of his last six games. He might be worth a flier in deeper formats.
10/4/2010 5:37:00 PM
Description: The Calgary Flames have signed free agent forward Brendan Morrison to a one-year, one-way $725,000 contract. TSN
Insight: Morrison was released from his tryout with the Vancouver Canucks just a day before, as he would not agree to a two-way contract with his former team. Morrison should see plenty of icetime to begin the season, as Daymond Langkow, Matt Stajan, and David Moss are all sidelined. Olli Jokinen has returned to the Flames' lineup after a back injury, so Morrison may be more of a second-liner with the Flames.

Description: The Vancouver Canucks have released Brendan Morrison from his tryout. TEAM 1040
Insight: Morrison, a onetime Canucks' top liner, played well during his tryout. The Calgary Flames and Toronto Maple Leafs are two teams that need short-term help at center, so don't be surprised if he catches on with one of those teams.
9/16/2010 8:23:00 PM
Description: Brendan Morrison has been invited to the Vancouver Canucks' camp on a tryout basis. TSN
Insight: Mo played for the Canucks from 1999-2008. He scored 42 points (12g-30a) with Washington last season, but the Caps elected not to re-sign him. Morrison has a shot to earn a spot on the Canucks' roster as a third or fourth-line center, and his chances improve significantly if Cody Hodgson's back is still an issue.

Description: Brendan Morrison's agent believes that Morrison will soon be signed by an NHL team. Vancouver Sun
Insight: Morrison's agent, Kurt Overhardt, believes that Morrison will be able to find a job in the NHL and will not need to sign in Europe. Morrison would be a decent third-line center for a team, but don't expect him to make any significant fantasy contributions if he does play in the NHL this season.
