Silfverberg out 4-to-6 weeks with broken hand
Anaheim, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Anaheim Ducks announced on Saturday that young forward Jakob Silfverberg will miss the next 4-to-6 weeks with a broken right hand.
The 23-year-old, who was acquired in a blockbuster offseason trade with the Senators, apparently suffered the injury in Friday's 2-1 win at Ottawa. He totaled seven points (4G, 3A) in 11 games this season.
Also on the shelf is forward Mathieu Perreault, who is listed as day-to-day with a sprained left wrist also suffered in Friday's contest. Acquired at the outset of the season from the Washington Capitals, the 25-year-old racked up four goals and five assists in 11 games.
Anaheim also revealed that forward Dustin Penner, recovering from a concussion, has been symptom-free for several days and will join his team in Columbus for Sunday evening's game.
