Luongo helps Canucks clip Wild
Vancouver, BC (Sports Network) - Roberto Luongo made 25 saves to backstop the streaking Vancouver Canucks to a 2-1 win over the visiting Minnesota Wild.
Kevin Bieksa and Jannik Hansen supplied the goals for the Canucks, winners of six in a row. They also continued their home dominance of the Wild, who fell to 0-9-2 in their last 11 trips to Rogers Arena.
Devin Setoguchi scored a power-play goal for Minnesota, which had won two straight. Darcy Kuemper played well in his NHL debut, stopping 28-of-30 shots.
The Wild recalled Kuemper, 22, from Houston of the American Hockey League after Josh Harding, the scheduled starter, wasn't able to play because of symptoms related to his multiple sclerosis.
