Kings agree to 10-year pact with G Quick

Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - The Los Angeles Kings agreed to terms with goaltender Jonathan Quick on a 10-year contract extension which aims to keep him in the City of Angels through the 2022-23 season.

The deal cannot be signed until the start of free agency on July 1, under terms of the current Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Quick backstopped the Kings through an incredible playoff run en route to the first Stanley Cup title in franchise history. He also collected the Conn Smythe Trophy as playoff MVP along the way.

In 20 postseason games, Quick went 16-4 and led all goalies in postseason play with a 1.41 goals against average, a .946 save percentage and added three shutouts.

Quick racked up a 35-21-13 record in the regular season to go with a 1.95 GAA and a .929 save percentage with 10 shutouts. He also set a club record with three straight shutouts from October 18-22 and had a consecutive scoreless streak of 202 minutes, 11 seconds -- all of which resulted in his selection as a finalist for the Vezina Trophy.

The All-Star netminder allowed two-or-fewer goals 46 times during the regular season, and allowed one goal or shut out the opposition 27 times.

In 249 career regular season games -- all with Los Angeles -- Quick is 131-87-25 with a 2.30 GAA, a .916 saver percentage and 24 shutouts.
