Description: The Saints have parted ways with kicker Garrett Hartley following a pair of misses Sunday against St. Louis.
Insight: Hartley (22-for-30 this season) has already missed twice as many kicks as he did last season. Shayne Graham will kick for New Orleans this week against Carolina.

Cold12/17/2013 11:20:00 AM
Description: Saints kicker Garrett Hartley missed two relatively easy field goals last Sunday and may be on thin ice with coach Sean Payton.
Insight: Hartley is just 22-of-30 this season (73.3 percent) and coaches usually have little patience when their are other veteran kickers available at a moment's notice.

Cold11/14/2012 1:44:00 PM
Description: Saints kicker Garrett Hartley has been ineffective over the past few games and the team worked out place kickers this week.
Insight: Hartley should get the message and pick up his game. He's 16-of-22 this season (72.7 percent).

8/31/2012 5:17:00 PM
Description: Saints kicker Garrett Hartley has beat out veteran John Kasay for the starting job. Kasay was released Friday.
Insight: Hartley missed all of last season after playing 14 games in 2010. Kasay made 28 field goals and went 63-of-63 in extra points last season, numbers Hartley should have no problem duplicating if he's healthy. Consider him a top-10 kicking option.

5/15/2012 3:15:00 PM
Description: Kicker Garrett Hartley missed all of 2011 with a hip injury but interim head coach Joe Vitt said that he and veteran John Kasay would compete for the Saints kicking job.
Insight: On an offense as potent as New Orleans possesses, being the kicker automatically places you among the top-five at the position. We will be watching this competition all training camp and preseason.

11/25/2010 10:00:00 PM
Description: Hartley made three field goals, including a 50-yarder, against Dallas on Thursday.
Insight: Hartley is certainly a solid, if not upper echelon, fantasy kicker. (RapidDraft.com)

10/11/2010 11:03:00 AM
Description: The New Orleans Times Picayune reports Saints' head coach Sean Payton hinted Hartley may get his job back after John Carney's costly miss in Week 5.

10/3/2010 11:02:00 AM
Description: ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that John Carney will handle kicking duties for the Saints today.
Insight: Anyone holding out with Hartley as their kicker should go ahead and drop the inconsistent young guy. (RapidDraft.com)

Description: Garrett Hartley has lost his field-goal kicking duties to John Carney entering the Saints' Week 4 matchup against the Panthers. SOURCE: Adam Schefter via Twitter
Insight: Hartley is safe to drop in most leagues and John Carney is worthy of adding in most leagues being in such a high powered offense.

Insight: Hartley missed a short game-winning field goal in overtime against Atlanta on Sunday, and he also missed two field goals in Week 1. (RapidDraft.com)

9/10/2010 10:05:00 AM
Description: Hartley missed both of his field goal attempts, from 46 and 32 yards out, against the Vikings on Thursday night.
Insight: Hartley could be on a short leash if he continues to struggle, especially since Kris Brown and Shayne Graham are currently on the street. (RapidDraft.com)

9/3/2010 12:05:00 PM
Description: Hartley finished the preseason 8-for-8 on field goals.
Insight: Hartley could be the No. 1 fantasy kicker this season as the Saints' offense should give him ample opportunities. (RapidDraft.com)

2/8/2010 11:11:00 AM

12/23/2009 10:09:00 AM
Description: Hartley will be the Saints' kicker for the rest of the season after the release of John Carney on Tuesday. (ESPN.com)

Description: The New Orleans Saints waived QB Chase Daniel on Monday to make room on the roster for Hartley, who is eligible to return this week after serving a four-game suspension.
Insight: John Carney replaced Hartley, and has been kicking very well this season. Since the Saints' offense is so fantasy friendly, this is a situation worth monitoring. (SportsBuff.com)

Description: According to the New Orleans Times Picayune, Hartley (suspension) is expected to be reinstated to the Saints' roster next week.
