Description: Eight months after undergoing surgery to repair a ruptured right Achilles' tendon, Broncos RB LenDale White has started running. SOURCE: TWITTER
Insight: Don't expect the new regime to give White a chance to make a comeback. He won't be a Broncos come Week One. Actually, we don't see him in the NFL at all in 2011.

Description: LenDale White has barely practiced since joining the Broncos due to a sprained ankle.
Insight: White had a great chance to resurrect the value he had before Seattle cut him, but the ankle injury will destroy that. He may be lucky to even make the roster. (

Description: Due to an ankle sprain, Broncos RB LenDale White has barely been able to practice since joining the team. SOURCE: DENVER POST
Insight: There was talk that White and Justin Fargas were signed as more than just camp bodies, but we would be surprised if White was given a roster spot. He had the chance to make a splash after being released by the Seahawks, but he clearly isn't the same player he was in Tennessee.
8/18/2010 7:09:00 PM
Description: LenDale White (leg) didn't practice again Tuesday and his status at this point is uncertain.
Insight: He'll get plenty of time to rest the leg while he sits out the first four weeks of the season since he is suspended. White?s role in Denver is still very undefined. (
8/7/2010 2:25:00 PM
Description: Mike Klis of the Denver Post believes LenDale White is "all but assured" of playing for the Broncos this season despite his four-game suspension.
Insight: White is probably an upgrade over the other running backs they have behind Knowshon Moreno and Correll Buckhalter. He may be worth a late pick in touchdown-heavy formats. (
8/5/2010 7:09:00 PM
Description: Broncos signed RB LenDale White, formerly of the Titans.
Insight: White would seem to fill a role for the Broncos (goal line back), but he's still no sure thing to make the roster. Keep an eye on him in the preseason. (

Description: The Denver Broncos have signed LenDale White to strengthen their banged-up backfield. SOURCE: ESPN.COM - NFL
Insight: He figures to be a warm body for the Broncos at this point. Moreno and Buckhlater are nursing some injuries, so White isn't guaranteed to make the final roster.
7/26/2010 12:21:00 PM
Description: Fox Sport Radio reports White has confirmed he is receiving no interest on the open market.
Insight: White's lack of work ethic and production for most of his NFL career makes this not a big surprise. It will take a major injury somewhere for him to get an opportunity. (
7/2/2010 12:26:00 AM
Description: NFL Network's Jason La Canfora reports, via Twitter, that White has been suspended four games for violating the league's substance abuse policy.
Insight: Reports of the suspension surfaced when Seattle released White in late May, it is just now being made official. He is unlikely to find a team before training camp, if at all. (
6/4/2010 1:33:00 AM
Description: Yahoo! Sports reports White is "doing a lot of complaining" about his release from the Seahawks.
Insight: White is potentially facing a four-game suspension for violating the league's substance abuse policy, so he is unlikely to get an opportunity elsewhere anytime soon. The fact Pete Carroll, his old collegiate coach, gave up on him so quickly only serves as a further indictment of his work ethic and maturity. (
5/31/2010 11:53:00 AM
Description: Expanding on a previous item, Fox's Alex Marvez reports the Seahawks released White because his lack of effort "stood out like a sore thumb" compared to the other players.
Insight: The Seahawks were aware of White's impending four-game suspension, but his poor work ethic and immaturity wore thin with the team. He will find it hard to find another opportunity in the NFL this season. (
5/28/2010 7:12:00 PM
Description: NFL Network's Jason La Canfora reports, via Twitter, that White is likely facing a four-game suspension for violating the league's substance abuse policy.
Insight: This would explain the sudden release of White by the Seahawks on Friday, at least theoretically. (
5/28/2010 6:16:00 PM
Description: The Seahawks have waived White.
Insight: Seahawks' GM John Schneider explained the move by saying, in part, that White "was not ready to be a member of the Seahawks." His conditioning was likely not an issue, since he had dropped significant weight during the offseason. So it was likely an attitude issue, and since his former collegiate coach gave up on him so quickly it seems unlikely another team would bring him aboard. (
5/26/2010 12:08:00 AM
Description: Mike Sando has White as the "early choice" to start at RB for the Seahawks.
Insight: White slimmed down over the offseason, and should get a fair chance to earn significant playing time in Seattle. (
4/30/2010 9:47:00 PM
Description: The Seattle Times reports White has reported to Seahawks' minicamp in "excellent shape."
Insight: White is reportedly down to 218 pounds. He will compete with Justin Forsett and Leon Washington for carries in Seattle this season. (
4/29/2010 3:45:00 PM
Description: The Tacoma News Tribune reports Seahawks' head coach Pete Carroll envisions White in a short-yardage role for the team.
Insight: White should receive a good portion of early-down work and should be the Seahawk RB best suited to goalline duty as well. That means he would likely have the most fantasy value of the group that includes Justin Forsett and Leon Washington. (
4/24/2010 10:18:00 PM
Description: The Seahawks acquired White and DT Kevin Vickerson from the Titans for a swap of fourth and sixth round picks in the 2010 draft.
Insight: Seahawks' head coach Pete Carroll coached White at USC, so he may be able to help him reach his full potential playing for the Seahawks. (
4/23/2010 8:03:00 PM
Description: LenDale White has been on the trade block leading up to the draft, according to's Jay Glazer
Insight: White could still have value as a goal line back in the right situation. His fantasy value would depend upon where he landed. (
4/21/2010 8:06:00 PM
Description: Despite recently signing his one-year tender, LenDale White has not reported to the Titans' offseason program.
Insight: White definitely wants to be traded, but the Titans may not be so quick to accommodate his wish. They need a reliable backup for Chris Johnson so as not to overwork him and White is already very familiar with the offensive scheme. (
4/16/2010 7:49:00 PM
Description: Titans re-signed restricted free agent LenDale White to a one-year, $1.809 million contract.
Insight: If he doesn't get traded, White is a must-handcuff for Chris Johnson owners. Even though it's unlikely that he'll ever be huge touchdown threat in Tennessee again, he would have immediate value if Johnson should suffer an injury. (
