9/7/2010 12:01:00 AM
Description: Jamison Hensley of the Baltimore Sun reports, via Twitter, that Williams will have a tryout with the Rams.
Insight: St. Louis is clearly looking for wide receiver help, but it is unknown if Williams will be a fit. (RapidDraft.com)

7/26/2010 10:49:00 PM
Description: Ravens WR Demetrius Williams appeared to fall behind rookie fifth-round pick David Reed on the depth chart at the end of OTAs.
Insight: Williams has never been able to achieve what looked like a vast potential. It wouldn?t be a surprise to see him cut from the roster. (RapidDraft.com).

6/20/2010 4:18:00 PM
Description: Demetrius Williams left the Ravens' final OTA two days early, allegedly over not getting enough reps.
Insight: Williams lost his opportunity in Baltimore after the team upgraded their receiving corps over the winter. He's still a good bet to catch on somewhere else, though, if he and the Ravens decide to part ways. (SportsBuff.com)

5/11/2010 8:26:00 PM
Description: The star of the Ravens' first offseason workout was Demetrius Williams, according to the Baltimore Sun.
Insight: This report will probably cause some fantasy novice to actually rate Williams as someone he should be taking notice of. However, there is a huge difference between impressing in May and performing in October. (sportsBuff.com)

4/19/2010 10:18:00 PM
Description: Ravens re-signed restricted free agent WR Demetrius Williams to a one-year, $1.176 million contract.
Insight: The Ravens receiving corps suddenly got very crowded (and very good). Williams is no sure bet to even make the roster, so don?t go making any fantasy plans for him just yet. (sportsBuff.com)

3/3/2010 8:25:00 PM
Description: The Ravens are not expected to keep Williams on the roster.
Insight: How sad is it for a receiver that can?t even stick on Ravens roster that is starved for talent? He has talent, but Williams is just too spotty for anyone to count on for fantasy purposes. (sportsbuff.com)

1/18/2010 8:49:00 AM
Description: Williams had one catch for 12 yards on Saturday against the Colts.
Insight: Williams was targeted twice but could only haul in the one catch. (SportsBuff.com)

1/11/2010 8:55:00 AM
Description: Williams did not record a catch on Sunday against the Patriots.
Insight: Williams was targeted only once and was forced to leave the game due to injury. His status for next week is up in the air. (SportsBuff.com)

12/29/2009 8:47:00 AM
Description: Williams caught one pass for nine yards on Sunday against the Ravens.
Insight: Williams was coming off a huge game but came back to earth with a lousy performance. (SportsBuff.com)

12/22/2009 8:37:00 AM
Description: Williams caught four passes for a season-high 71 yards and a touchdown against the Bears on Sunday.
Insight: Williams saw an expanded role with Mark Clayton and Kelley Washington both inactive. The touchdown was his first of the season. (SportsBuff.com)

12/15/2009 8:27:00 AM
Description: Williams had two receptions for 45 yards against the Lions on Sunday.
Insight: Williams had his first catches since Week 6 against the Vikings. He has no fantasy value. (SportsBuff.com)

8/29/2009 12:42:00 PM
Description: Williams has been running with the first team while Mark Clayton continues to recover from his hamstring injury.
Insight: The talented but injury-prone Williams has a great opportunity to seize playing time here. Baltimore would like to open up their passing game more and it's not as though Clayton has locked himself into a starting position opposite Derrick Mason. (SportsBuff.com)

8/18/2009 11:39:00 AM
Description: According to the Baltimore Sun, Williams (hamstring) was limited to individual drills during Monday's practice.
Insight: With all the injuries to the Ravens' wide receivers, Williams has an opportunity to earn a significant role. But since he can't stay healthy himself, his fantasy value is limited. (SportsBuff.com)

Out8/11/2009 10:26:00 AM
Description: Williams is currently dealing with a hamstring issue. It is not believed to be serious and he should be back to practice soon.
Insight: As Mark Clayton is out for the rest of the preseason, Williams has a golden opportunity to make a big impression. However, he'll have to be on the field in order to do that. (SportsBuff.com)

Probable8/7/2009 6:00:00 PM
Description: Williams (concussion) reportedly returned to practice on Friday after leaving Thursday morning's practice with a minor concussion. (Rotoworld.com, via the Carroll County Times)
Insight: Williams appears to be fine, and he should see extra reps now with WR Mark Clayton (hamstring) out for a few weeks. But he will obviously need to stay on the field himself to take advantage of the opportunity. (Brad Berreman)

7/29/2009 11:21:00 PM
Description: The Baltimore Sun reports that Williams looked good Tuesday in his first live practice since surgery to repair a torn Achilles tendon. He reportedly showed no ill effects during or after.
Insight: Williams has also said he packed on 15 pounds of muscle this off-season without losing any speed. He's been a popular breakout candidate for the past couple of years but has struggled with injuries. Williams will certainly get the opportunity, especially if Derrick Mason stays retired. He's a solid late sleeper pick. (SportsBuff.com)

6/1/2009 2:10:00 PM
Description: The Baltimore Sun's Mike Preston says that Williams has looked impressive in workouts so far.
Insight: The tall, fast wideout should pretty much always look good in pads-free workouts. Such promise is the reason that fantasy players even know who he is, because he certainly hasn't produced in-season yet. Williams should get extra reps with Derrick Mason working his way back from shoulder surgery and is worth a late-round pick. Just don't be surprised if he gets hurt again. (SportsBuff.com)

Cold5/19/2009 1:17:00 PM
Description: Williams will have to fight for the No. 3 role in Baltimore this season, now that his team has added Kelley Washington to the mix.
Insight: Williams has been considered a breakout candidate for a bit now but has yet to catch more than the 22 passes he grabbed as a rookie in 2006. He was slowed by injury last season but will have to step up his efforts to stay/get in the game plan in 2009. He's waiver-wire fodder for most fantasy leagues. (SportsBuff.com)

Out10/30/2008 4:46:00 AM
Description: Williams has been placed on injured reserve in advance of surgery to remove a bone spur under an Achilles' tendon.
Insight: No big loss for fantasy owners, fortunately, though losing the team's best deep threat won't help the running game at all. (SportsBuff.com)
