Description: Jeremy Fowler of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports the Vikings have agreed to terms with Ramsey.
Insight: This is an indication that Brett Favre (shoulder) and Tarvaris Jackson (toe) may not be available next Monday night against the Bears, as Ramsey may be in line to back up rookie Joe Webb. (RapidDraft.com)

Description: The Vikings have signed QB Patrick Ramsey. SOURCE: TWITTER
Insight: We won't jump to conclusions, but the signing is a pretty good indication that the team doesn't expect Tarvaris Jackson (toe) or Brett Favre (shoulder) to be ready for Monday night's game against the Bears. If Joe Webb starts, it will bring down the fantasy value of everyone on the offense.

9/4/2010 10:05:00 PM
Description: Ramsey was released by the Saints on Friday. On Saturday, though, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that the Seahawks are said to have some interest.
Insight: Ramsey continues to bounce around but always seems to land somewhere after a team gives up on him. We'll see what comes of this situation, but he sure looks like a career backup. (RapidDraft.com)

7/21/2010 12:32:00 PM
Description: NFL.com's Jason La Canfora reports, via Twitter, that the Saints are prepared to sign Ramsey this week.
Insight: Since Mark Brunell is slated to sign with the Jets this week, Ramsey would likely step in as Drew Brees' backup. (SportsBuff.com)

Description: Free agent QB Patrick Ramsey is expected to sign with the Saints sometime this week. SOURCE: TWITTER
Insight: The Saints haven't been able to do anything regarding free agents because of the "Final Eight" rule. He will compete with Chase Daniel for the backup job in training camp after being out of football for almost all of 2009.

6/8/2010 10:22:00 AM
Description: Updating a previous item, Brian Allee-Walsh of New Orleans.com expects the Saints to sign Ramsey before training camp.
Insight: Ramsey signed with the UFL's Omaha Nighthawks recently, but apparently is not obligated to honor that deal. He would become the favorite to be Drew Brees' backup. (SportsBuff.com)

6/7/2010 10:20:00 AM
Description: ESPN's Chris Mortensen expects Ramsey to sign with the Saints.
Insight: Ramsey was out of football for much of 2009, but would compete with Chase Daniel to be Drew Brees' backup. (SportsBuff.com)

Description: ESPN.com reports the Saints are interested in signing Ramsey.
Insight: Ramsey would obviously serve as Drew Brees' backup if he is brought to New Orleans. (SportsBuff.com)

4/9/2010 4:36:00 PM
Description: National Football Post reports Ramsey tried out for the Saints on Thursday.
Insight: Josh McCown also reportedly tried out for New Orleans on Thursday. Both guys could replace Mark Brunell, who is an unrestricted free agent, as Drew Brees' backup. (SportsBuff.com)

10/28/2009 12:15:00 AM
Description: The Buffalo News reports that the Bills worked out free agent quarterback Patrick Ramsey on Tuesday.
Insight: With Trent Edwards out for Week 8, the Bills would like to add a veteran presence to backup started Ryan Fitzpatrick. (SportsBuff.com)

Steady4/4/2009 9:56:00 AM
Description: Ramsey signed a one-year deal with the Titans to be their third quarterback behind Kerry Collins and Vince Young.
Insight: Ramsey had the look of an NFL QB when he was at Tulane, but he doesn't possess a cannon arm. After being a first round pick of the Redskins in 2002, he now been a backup in Washington, New York (with the Jets), Denver, and Tennessee. (SportsBuff.com)

4/3/2009 7:35:00 PM
Description: According to the Nashville City Paper, the Titans have shown interest in signing Ramsey as the number three quarterback.
Insight: Behind Kerry Collins and Vince Young, Ramsey would be carrying the clipboard and has no fantasy value. (SportsBuff.com)
