Description: The Jaguars have placed DL Aaron Kampman on injured reserve after he tore the ACL in his right knee during Thursday's practice. SOURCE: TWITTER
Insight: As if the Jaguars Defense couldn't get any worse. Derrick Harvey, who has been a bust, is expected to takeover. It's safe to say that the Texans' skill players just got an increase in fantasy value this weekend. There is belief that the Jags may not bring Kampman back since there is no guaranteed money left in his four-year contract.

Description: Jaguars RE Aaron Kampman (knee) made his preseason debut over the weekend, but strongly indicated that he doesn't feel close to full health.
Insight: Kampman should not be counted upon for any significant IDP value this season. The knee is likely to be a problem all season long. (

Description: Jags coach Jack Del Rio indicated that RE Aaron Kampman is ahead of schedule in his return from ACL surgery.
Insight: If Kampman can finally stay healthy, he has a shot at a bounce-back campaign. Consider taking a late round flier on him in IDP leagues. (

Description: Kampman has signed a contract with Jacksonville.
Insight: He will definitely improve their league-worst pass rush. The terms and conditions haven't been released yet, but whatever they paid, they definitely addressed a need. (

Description: The Chicago Tribune reports Bears' DE Alex Brown wants to see the team pursue Kampman (left knee), who is scheduled to become a free agent.
Insight: Current Bears' DE Adewale Ogunleye is scheduled to become a free agent and seems likely to be allowed to hit the open market, which would create a void along the defensive line. Kampman is coming off a torn left ACL, but was not a good fit as an OLB in the Packers' 3-4 defense in 2009. (

Description: According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Packers' GM Ted Thompson confirmed the team will make a contract offer to Kampman (left knee).
Insight: Kampman is scheduled to become a free agent, but proved to be a poor fit in 2009 as a 3-4 outside linebacker. He is a better fit as a 4-3 defensive end, and should garner decent interest on the free agent market as long as he can be healthy after suffering a torn left ACL this past season. (

Description: The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports that Kampman (left knee) said his rehab from a torn ACL is ahead of schedule and he'll be ready for training camp.
Insight: Kampman is an unrestricted free agent and could re-sign with the Packers but he was a poor fit for the team's 3-4 defense this season before getting hurt. He will be among the top defensive ends available. (

Description: According to the Associated Press, Kampman (concussion) suffered a concussion during Week 9's game against Tampa Bay and played most of the game with the injury.
Insight: Kampman's status for this Sunday against Dallas is very up in the air at this point. Brady Poppinga is likely to see significant action if he can't go. (

Description: The Miwaukee Journal Sentinel is speculating that Kampman could be on the trading block before the trade deadline later this month.
Insight: Kampman is making the transition to OLB in the Packers' new 3-4 defense, and has just one sack through four games. In his defense, he was asked to drop into coverage frequently in the team's last game against Minnesota, which may not be the best use of his talents. (

Description: After initially being leery of his place in the 3-4 defense, Kampman is warming to the idea. The Sporting News Today reported that Kampman said, "If we execute it, it'll be good."
Insight: Kampman has been a sack machine from his defensive end spot and he should get plenty of opportunity to rush the passer in the 3-4 defense. However, sometimes if it ain't broke, you shouldn't fix it. (

Description: The Packers' switch to a 3-4 defensive alignment will reportedly mean a move to linebacker for Kampman.
Insight: Kampman has easily been the team's top pass-rush threat over the past couple of seasons, but this won't be an easy move. He's not known for tremendous speed off the edge, so we'll have to see how well he's still able to get after the quarterback. Downgrade Kampman in your preseason IDP rankings. (
