Description: Despite the fact that Victor "Macho" Harris (ankle) has returned to practice, Jones will remain the Eagles' starting free safety. (Philly.com)
Insight: Jones has played well since Harris went down, but Eagles' head coach Andy Reid suggested that he would have been installed as the starter even without Harris' injury. (SportsBuff.com)

Description: Jones signed with the Eagles as a free agent on Friday. He spent his first five seasons with Cleveland.
Insight: According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, Jones' 14 interceptions over the past three seasons rank behind only Ed Reed and Oshiomogho Atogwe among NFL safeties over that span. The Eagles have focused on creating more turnovers in the past couple of seasons, so look for Jones to be put in position to make plays on the ball. He should continue to be a good IDP defensive back. (SportsBuff.com)

Questionable10/11/2008 12:05:00 PM
Description: Jones practiced some on a limited basis this week and is officially listed as questionable for Monday night's matchup with the Giants. He has been out since Week 1 with a knee injury that required surgery.
Insight: It's tough to imagine the team tossing Jones back out there without seeing him in full practice. Don't expect to see him play against the Giants, at least not for any meaningful amount of time. (SportsBuff.com)
