Description: Former Lions DE Cliff Avril has agreed to a two-year, $15 million contract with the Seattle Seahawks.
Insight: Avril has had at least 9.0 sacks in three straight seasons, including 9.5 in 2012. He'll replace Jason Jones, who signed with Avril's old team, in Seattle's DE rotation.

Description: Lions defensive lineman Cliff Avril said that he won't be in attendance for the start of training camp after failing to reach a long-term deal with the team before Monday's deadline.
Insight: We're not sure how long Avril (36 tackles, 11 sacks, one interception last season) is willing to holdout for but he's an important piece in Detroit's defensive scheme and his presence will definitely be missed if the holdout continues into the regular season.
