Insight: A free agent this offseason, Gradkowski dealt with a shoulder injury last year and was eventually placed on injured reserve. Davis believes Gradkowski has what it takes to be successful, but his injury history "worries the hell out of me. And I like continuity."

Description: The Raiders made the decision to place Bruce Gradkowski (shoulder) on injured reserve because he wasn't going to be able to throw again for at least another week or two, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
Insight: With Gradkowski sidelined for the rest of the season, the Raiders will have the next five games to determine whether or not to move forward with Jason Campbell as their QB for the 2011 season. (RapidDraft.com)

Description: The San Francisco Chronicle is reporting that a Monday MRI revealed that Bruce Gradkowski has a separated right (throwing) shoulder, which will reportedly end his season.
Insight: ESPN's John Clayton reports that it is a third-degree separation. With Gradkowski now reportedly out for the year, the QB controversy in Oakland has mercilessly come to an end. Barring injury, Jason Campbell will be the starter for the rest of the year. (RapidDraft.com)

Insight: Jason Campbell is now the starter by default, which is bad news for the Raiders after Campbell's last couple performances. The team will need to rely heavily on Darren McFadden.

Description: Raiders QB Bruce Gradkowski is fearing bad news regarding his aggravated shoulder injury. SOURCE: CONTRA COSTA TIMES
Insight: Gradkowski threw one touchdown and two interceptions Sunday against the Dolphins, but the offense figures to get worse if Jason Campbell has to start for the rest of the season. Gradkowski really wasn't much of a fantasy option to begin with. Since this isn't the first time he has aggravated his shoulder, the Raiders might as well shut him down for good this time.
11/29/2010 3:03:00 PM
Description: According to the Contra Costa Times, Raiders QB Bruce Gradkowski will have an MRI on his shoulder on Monday and is fearing bad news.
Insight: It appears as if Gradkowski re-injured the shoulder that has been plaguing him since the beginning of October. Look for Jason Campbell to take over as the starter, perhaps for the remainder of the season. (RapidDraft.com)

Description: ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Saturday that Gradkowski will start for Oakland in Week 12.
Insight: Gradkowski probably carries slightly more fantasy upside than Jason Campbell but doesn't make for a strong option. He has done good things with Louis Murphy in the past, though, so the second-year receiver could bring some deep sleeper value. (RapidDraft.com)

Description: Raiders QB Bruce Gradkowski is believed to be the starter for their game against the Dolphins. SOURCE: TWITTER
Insight: If true, then Al Davis is giving Tom Cable a bit more leniency than usual. After last week's disaster against the Steelers and the rumor that Jason Campbell wanted out because of all the hits he was taking, it would be hard for us to see a scenario where the team would ever go back to Campbell this year. He's just not that good. Gradkowski is NOT a fantasy option.
11/18/2010 8:02:00 PM
Description: According to the Oakland Tribune, Raiders QB Bruce Gradkowski revealed that his shoulder is finally healthy enough to make every throw necessary.
Insight: "The way I feel now, I realize I wasn't ready the last couple of weeks," Gradkowski explained. The team is currently riding Jason Campbell's "hot hand", but Gradkowski is certainly a viable backup should his number be called. (RapidDraft.com)
11/12/2010 3:04:00 PM
Description: The SF Chronicle is reporting that Raiders QB Bruce Gradkowski expects to be back at 100% after the team's bye week.
Insight: Coach Tom Cable has publicly stated that he's going to stick with Jason Campbell's "hot hand". "Right now, my feeling is, we've won four of the last five games with the same guy," Cable said. "When you're winning, you're winning. You don't mess with that." (RapidDraft.com)
11/8/2010 3:03:00 PM
Description: ESPN's Bill Williamson reports that there is a "good chance" Raiders QB Bruce Gradkowski (shoulder) will reclaim his starting role after the week 10 bye.
Insight: Coach Tom Cable has reiterated a number of times that Gradkowski would be back in the starting role once he was 100%. However, after Jason Campbell has helped Oakland reel off three straight wins, Cable's decision doesn't appear to be as simple. (RapidDraft.com)

Description: There is a "good chance" that Raiders QB Bruce Gradkowski (shoulder) can return after the team's Week Ten bye. SOURCE: ESPN.COM
Insight: Tom Cable had insisted that Gradkowski will be his starter once healthy, but he now retracted that thinking after Jason Campbell's third-straight win against the Chiefs. The Raiders will play the Steelers Week Eleven.
11/4/2010 3:04:00 PM
Description: The Oakland Tribune is reporting that Raiders coach Tom Cable will decide on a starting quarterback by Friday.
Insight: Gradkowski did take some first team reps, but wasn't observed making any deep throws. Since Oakland has a week 10 bye, it's more likely Jason Campbell will make the start with Gradkowski resuming the starting role in week 11. (RapidDraft.com)
10/31/2010 10:02:00 AM
Description: Although the team has confirmed that Gradkowski remains the starter when healthy and he participated in limited practice this week, Jason Campbell will keep the job for at least one more game.
Insight: The Raiders have a Week 10 bye, so if Campbell plays well this week, it might help to tempt the team to give Gradkowski another week's rest. For fantasy owners, either player comes with limited upside and shouldn't be much of a factor. (RapidDraft.com)
10/29/2010 9:13:00 AM
Description: Despite making a surprise return to a limited practice this week, it would take "major strides" for Raiders QB Bruce Gradkowski (shoulder) to start Week Eight. SOURCE: ESPN.COM
Insight: Tom Cable said Gradkowski would have to fully participate in practice Friday in order to get the chance to start, which likely won't happen. After Jason Campbell's performance last week against the Broncos, the Raiders don't feel much urgency in getting Gradkowski ready against the Seahawks. We really can't recommend Campbell as a bye-week option either.
10/26/2010 3:03:00 PM
Description: As reported by the Oakland Tribune, Raiders coach Tom Cable said QB Bruce Gradkowski would "definitely" regain the starting role once he's back healthy.
Insight: Cable noted Gradkowski's improvement over the last few weeks, but didn't know the availability of the QB for week 8 just yet. While Jason Campbell bounced back from a rough start in the week 7 win over Denver, the Raiders are still committed to Gradkowski as the starter. (RapidDraft.com)

Description: According to Raiders HC Tom Cable, QB Bruce Gradkowski (shoulder) will "definitely" be the starter once he is fully healthy. SOURCE: OAKLAND TRIBUNE
Insight: Jason Campbell looked good, but not great, in the huge win over the Broncos. The offense got most of it done on the ground. Plus, Campbell's work was against a Broncos defense that hasn't been able to stop anyone this year. We won't know if Gradkowski will start against the Seahawks until later in the week.

Description: Raiders HC Tom Cable has yet to officially rule out QB Bruce Gradkowski (shoulder) for Week Seven. SOURCE: ASSOCIATED PRESS
Insight: Considering Gradkowski hasn't been able to throw this week in practice, we would be highly surprised to see him start against the Broncos. The starting job will either go to Jason Campbell or Kyle Boller, who alternated first-string snaps in Thursday's practice.
10/21/2010 8:01:00 PM
Description: The Oakland Tribune reports that QB Bruce Gradkowski was a limited participant in Thursday's practice.
Insight: Coach Tom Cable said that Gradkowski was still limited to only short throws, so it looks as if there's no chance he'll start this week. His return to practice is promising, however, and makes a strong case for him to reclaim the starting job for week 8. (RapidDraft.com)
