Description: Colts SS LaRon Landry has been suspended for violating the league's policy against performance enhancing drugs.
Insight: Landry will miss the next four games. Sergio Brown figures to slide into the starting role.

1/10/2014 2:48:00 PM
Description: Colts SS LaRon Landry has been upgraded from questionable to probable for Saturday's AFC Divisional Playoff against New England.
Insight: Landry had 87 tackles during the regular season and with Tom Brady on the other side of the line, the Colts can't afford to be without a top defensive back. It appears they won't have to.

Description: Colts SS LaRon Landry is questionable for Saturday's AFC Divisional Playoff against New England after taking a knee to the helmet in the fourth quarter against Kansas City.
Insight: He'll have to get through the league protocol if he's to play next weekend. Landry had 87 tackles during the regular season.

10/14/2013 9:40:00 AM
Description: Colts SS LaRon Landry (ankle) has been ruled out for Week 6 versus San Diego
Insight: We were expecting this as he didn't practice all week. Delano Howell will get another start. Facing a very hot Philip Rivers (three 400-yards passing days in the last four weeks), it would have been better to have everyone in the secondary healthy.

Description: Redskins SS LaRon Landry (Achilles', hamstring) is out for Week 2, according to NFL Network's Jason La Canfora. Source: Jason LaCanfora via Twitter
Insight: We were expecting this and didn't have him ranked again this week. We'll see how he progresses this week but we're pessimistic on his week 3 return, as well. Reed Doughty is a nice IDP play at free safety an OJ Atogwe will continue to play the strong-side.

Description: The Washington Post gets "the sense" that SS LaRon Landry (Achilles', hamstring) isn't close to returning at full strength anytime soon. Source: Washington Post
Insight: Landry, when healthy, is definitely one of the more dynamic playmakers and his presence will continue to be missed. Reed Doughty will continue to serve as his replacement as he gets the nod at free safety, while OJ Atogwe roams the strong-side.

8/29/2011 4:36:00 PM
Description: Redskins coach Mike Shanahan confirmed Monday that SS LaRon Landry (Achilles, hamstring) will not begin the season on PUP. Source: CSN Washington
Insight: He's declared out for the preseason, so while Shanny said he won't land on the PUP, don't take it as gospel. The 'Skins goal is to have him ready by week one though. If Landry is out for week one (or longer) Reed Doughty will fill-in at free safety, sliding OJ Atogwe over to the strong-side.

Description: Despite not participating in any of the team's un-organized player practices, LaRon Landry appears to be in just as good of shape as if he were in the middle of training camp. SOURCE: NFL GRIDIRON GAB
Insight: After recently posting a few pictures of himself on his Twitter account, it certainly doesn't look like he's missed a single beat in off-season workouts (Landry has not been present in any of the team's player-organized practices, to date).

12/13/2010 5:00:00 PM
Description: Landry (Achilles) has been placed on injured reserve with a strained Achilles' tendon, ending his 2010 season.
Insight: Landry had been having an excellent season, excelling in run support and coverage. (RapidDraft.com)

11/20/2010 8:21:00 PM
Description: LaRon Landry did not make the trip for the Redskins tilt against the Titans. SOURCE: Redskins Insider via Twitter
Insight: Get Landry out of your IDP lineup this week. His Achilles must have been worse than was led on, so Kareem Moore and Reed Doughty will draw the starts at the safety spots this week, in place of Landry this week. His owners will definitely miss him and his production this week.

7/14/2010 10:14:00 PM
Description: The Washington Post reports Landry (toe) underwent surgery in June to relieve "soreness" in one of his toes.
Insight: The injury sounds minor, so Landry should be ready to go for Week 1. He is still a solid player for IDP leagues. (SportsBuff.com)

Description: Redskins SS LaRon Landry underwent surgery in June to relieve "soreness" in one of his toes. SOURCE: Washington Post
Insight: Sounds like minor surgery that will allow him to be healthy for the start of camp. He's going to fall in IDP leagues and return some excellent value.

4/26/2010 4:00:00 PM
Description: The Washington Post reports Landry said he will be playing strong safety in the Redskins' new 3-4 defense.
Insight: Previous comments by Landry had suggested he could be moving to linebacker, but his value in IDP leagues is higher if he's playing safety. (SportsBuff.com)

1/1/2010 7:11:00 PM
Description: Landry (concussion) has been ruled out for Week 17.
Insight: He's a big part of the Redskins' pass defense, so downgrade the unit as a whole. Fortunately for them, though, San Diego will likely rest some key offensive personnel. (SportsBuff.com)

12/31/2009 10:31:00 AM
Description: The Washington Post reports that Landry was sent home on Wednesday with what is believed to be a mild concussion.
Insight: Landry was apparently experiencing some headaches, so his status for Week 17 against San Diego is up in the air. (SportsBuff.com)
