Description: A league source reports that the extension the Seahawks gave WR Ben Obomanu is only worth $6.9 million. SOURCE: MAC'S FOOTBALL BLOG
Insight: Obomanu was good here and there, but he isn't talented enough to be a full-time starting receiver. Expect the team to continue to look for receiver options this offseason.

Description: The Seahawks and WR Ben Obomanu have agreed to a three-year extension. SOURCE: ESPN.COM
Insight: Obomanu shouldn't be counted on as a fantasy starter across from Mike Williams in 2011. He is an okay receiver, but nothing about him is really all that dynamic. The team would be wise to try and land a play-maker this offseason.

Description: The Seahawks have signed Obomanu to a three-year contract extension through 2014.
Insight: Obomanu had 30 receptions for 494 yards and four touchdowns during the regular season, and he should be a fit as Seattle's No.3 WR going forward. (RapidDraft.com)

Description: Seahawks WR Ben Obomanu is expected to wear a cast on his lacerated hand and practice Wednesday. SOURCE: TWITTER
Insight: Even if Obomanu does play this week against the Falcons, we don't trust him as a fantasy option with his hand not completely healed.

Description: Seahawks WR Ben Obomanu's lacerated hand was too painful for him to play when he tested it out before the game against the 49ers. SOURCE: SEATTLE TIMES
Insight: Obomanu's status for Week Fifteen is very much up in the air at this point. The team could use him back after Brandon Stokley injured his hamstring and Deon Butler broke his leg in the loss Sunday.

Description: Danny O'Neil of the Seattle Times reports Seahawks' head coach Pete Carroll expressed optimism Obamanu (hand) will be able to dress on Sunday against the 49ers.
Insight: Obomanu is best left on fantasy benches this week. (RapidDraft.com)

Description: Danny O'Neil of the Seattle Times reports Obomanu (hand) suffered only a laceration, not a fracture, on Sunday against Carolina and should be fine to play next week.
Insight: Obomanu is worth a roster spot in most leagues, especially with Mike Williams (foot) still out. (RapidDraft.com)

12/5/2010 6:39:00 PM
Description: Two trainers walked Seahawks WR Ben Obomanu to the locker room after he suffered an apparent wrist injury.
Insight: Obomanu took a pop from Panthers DB Charles Godfrey and was down for several minutes. Mike Williams is already out with an ankle injury, so Seattle's receiving corps is becoming severely depleted.

11/29/2010 3:01:00 PM
Description: Obomanu had five receptions for 159 yards and a touchdown against Kansas City on Sunday.
Insight: Obomanu has a touchdown in three of his last four games, and is making a case to be a prominent part of a pass-happy Seahawks' offense down the stretch. (RapidDraft.com)

Description: The Seahawks have promoted WR Ben Obomanu to the starting lineup across from WR Mike Williams. SOURCE: TWITTER
Insight: Don't let Deon Butler's 4 catch, 66 yards and a score against the Cardinals fool you. He caught a 63-yard score than averaged just one yard for the other three receptions. This move really isn't all that fantasy relevant.

Description: The Tacoma News Tribune report Obomanu saw significant time with the Seahawks' first-team offense during offseason practices.
Insight: Obamanu will still have to fight for a roster spot in training camp, but his special teams ability may give him an advantage. (SportsBuff.com)
