Description: According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Bears have reached an agreement on a four-year deal with tight end Martellus Bennett.
Insight: Bennett caught 55 passes for 626 yards and five touchdowns for New York last season. Chicago hasn't used its tight ends much in the offense since Greg Olsen left but that's likely due to its personnel at that position and issues on the offensive line that forced tight ends to pass block.

Description: Giants tight end Martellus Bennett has reached the end zone in two straight games after failing to hit paydirt from Week 4-12.
Insight: Bennett also has five receptions in each of the last two games. He's back in the TE1 discussion for Week 15.

Description: Giants tight end Martellus Bennett (knee) is at practice on Friday along with wideout Hakeem Nicks (knee).
Insight: Having both Nicks and Bennett in the lineup against the tough 49ers defense would be a huge boost. Eli Manning's value would jump the most, but with Victor Cruz, Nicks and Bennett on the field things could open up for Ahmad Bradshaw too.

Description: Giants tight end Martellus Bennett (knee) worked with trainers on the sideline Thursday and also put in a very limited session in practice.
Insight: Bennett said Wednesday that he expects to play Sunday against the 49ers. The tight end suffered a hyperextended knee last week against the Browns but he returned to the game to block as Ahmad Bradshaw churned out 200 yards. Bennett may play the same role this week if he suits up so he's a risky fantasy play.

10/9/2012 12:05:00 PM
Description: Giants tight end Martellus Bennett, who left Sunday's game in the first quarter with what appears to be a hyperextended left knee and returned to help block for Bradshaw, will get an MRI on the knee on Tuesday.
Insight: Bennett had caught a touchdown in three of the first four games this season and has 19 receptions for 217 yards. With the Giants receivers hurting, Bennett is a solid play when healthy.

10/7/2012 1:59:00 PM
Description: Giants tight end Martellus Bennett left Sunday's game in the first quarter with what appears to be a hyperextended left knee. His return is questionable.
Insight: Bennett had caught a touchdown in three of the first four games this season. With Hakeem Nicks and Ramses Barden sidelined, Bennett was likely to see a lot of targets.

9/20/2012 11:24:00 PM
Description: Giants tight end Martellus Bennett had another big game Thursday night against the Panthers, hauling in six balls for 73 yards and his third touchdown of the season.
Insight: Bennett has caught a touchdown in each of the first three games this season. Even with all the targets New York gives to its receivers, Bennett gets enough scraps to be a TE1 in fantasy leagues going forward.

9/16/2012 5:38:00 PM
Description: Giants tight end Martellus Bennett has caught a touchdown pass in each of his first two games this season.
Insight: With nine catches, 112 yards and two scores in two weeks, Bennett is making his case why he should be considered a TE1 in fantasy leagues.

9/5/2012 11:56:00 PM
Description: Giants tight end Martellus Bennett had a nice night against his former team Wednesday in New York's season opener against Dallas.
Insight: Bennett caught four passes for 40 yards and snared a fourth-quarter TD pass. The Giants are looking for a third option in the passing game with Mario Manningham gone, and Bennett filled that void Wednesday. The tight end is a big target and he has a good shot to catch 8-10 TD passes.

8/27/2012 11:59:00 AM
Description: With Travis Beckum put on the PUP list as expected, the Giants tight end position is exclusively Martellus Bennett's with only fourth-round rookie Adrien Robinson as his backup.
Insight: The Giants like to throw to their tight ends and with Bennett as the only option, he could become fantasy worthy. Last season, Giant tight ends Jake Ballard, Travis Beckum and Bear Pascoe caught 55 balls for 833 yards and five touchdowns.

6/1/2012 5:34:00 PM
Description: Giants tight end Martellus Bennett reportedly has arrived at OTAs weighing 291 pounds, up 26 from the 265 he's listed at.
Insight: New York had tight ends Jake Ballard and Travis Beckum both go down with ACL tears in the Super Bowl, so Bennett will compete with 2012 fourth-round pick Adrien Robinson for a starting job. However, he'll have to drop some weight if he wants to avoid being cut loose.

Description: There are rumors, again, that the Cowboys will put TE Martellus Bennett on the trade block. SOURCE: TWITTER
Insight: Bennett is talented enough to be a starting consideration somewhere else. But signed cheaply for the 2011 season, the Cowboys may opt to keep him one more year and let him go in 2012.

Description: The Fort Worth Star Telegram reports Bennett (right foot) left the locker room after Week 5 with a walking boot on his right foot.
Insight: Bennett has a sprained ankle, the same ankle that has given him trouble since training camp. His status going forward is unknown. (RapidDraft.com)

10/4/2010 2:00:00 PM
Description: The Dallas Morning News reports Bennett (ankle) did not practice on Monday.
Insight: Bennett aggravated an ankle injury in Week 3, but was able to practice last week. He should be able to play Sunday against the Titans, barring a setback, and could start if Jason Witten (right knee) is unable to play. (RapidDraft.com)

9/20/2010 12:01:00 PM
Description: Bennett had seven receptions for 45 yards in the Cowboys' loss to the Bears on Sunday.
Insight: Bennett got the opportunity to play when Jason Witten suffered a concussion in the game, and could start next week against Houston if Witten can't go. (RapidDraft.com)

9/19/2010 6:59:00 PM
Description: Cowboys TE Martellus Bennett hauled in seven receptions for 45 yards against the Bears in Week 2.
Insight: Much of this was on the last drive with Jason Witten on the sidelines, but it's notable that Romo has so much faith in him. Bennett wouldn't be considered as a waiver wire pickup unless Witten were to miss some time.

Description: Cowboys TE Martellus Bennett is still having problems with his sprained ankle. SOURCE: DALLAS MORNING NEWS
Insight: Bennett has practiced for the last week, but he still has trouble cutting and he's been walking with a noticeable limp. He never really had much fantasy value anyway with Jason Witten ahead of him.

7/25/2010 10:34:00 AM
Description: The Dallas Morning News reports Bennett (right ankle) will be placed on the non-football injury (NFI) list due to a recent ankle injury.
Insight: Bennett reportedly suffered the injury away from the Cowboys' team supervision. As long as he is healthy, he will continue to be Jason Witten's backup in 2010. (SportsBuff.com)

Description: Omar Kelly of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports, via Twitter, that he is "hearing" the Cowboys have put Bennett on the trade block.
Insight: Kelly suggests the Dolphins could have interest in Bennett, a second round pick in 2008. Whether he is moved or not may depend on what the Cowboys require in return. (SportsBuff.com)
