Description: Raiders signed WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh.
Insight: Like Carson Palmer, Housh has history with Hue Jackson and is reunited with Carson Palmer. He'll be used primarily in the slot but has some other solid WRs in front of him that he'll need to overtake before he can make an impact.

Description: Free agent to be WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh says he will listen to offers, but he would also like to return to the Ravens in 2011. SOURCE: CARROLL COUNTY TIMES
Insight: Don't expect him back. The team could decide to bring back fellow free agent Donte' Stallworth instead since he is younger and faster. Housh won't see much interest in free agency. He griped about his limited role in 2010 and is more trouble than he's worth with his diva-ish attitude.

Description: Houshmandzadeh caught four passes for 32 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's victory.
Insight: It was his third touchdown catch of the season, a decent if not terrific season for the player who opened the year by being cut in Seattle. (RapidDraft.com)
11/22/2010 10:04:00 AM
Description: Houshmandzadeh caught just two passes in Sunday's game, but his 56-yard touchdown helped him lead the team with 79 receiving yards.
Insight: It's nice for Housh's pride to get a score, but this day shouldn't change anything in the eyes of fantasy owners. (RapidDraft.com)
10/2/2010 8:05:00 AM
Description: MASNSports.com reports that Houshmandzadeh is confused by his lack of opportunities in Baltimore thus far. The veteran wideout has caught two passes in three games.
Insight: Housh seems to be the only one unaware of his decline at this point. We'll see if he begins to get more work with more time as a Raven, but he's a poor fantasy option going forward. (RapidDraft.com)

Description: Ravens WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh is frustrated with his playing time and offensive role. SOURCE: MASN.COM
Insight: Did Housh think he was going to be a star with guys like Anquan Boldin and Derrick Mason in front of him? He's someone to continue avoiding in all leagues.
9/19/2010 6:08:00 PM
Description: Ravens WR TJ Houshmandzadeh was held without a catch in Week 2 vs. Cincinnati after catching only one pass in Week 1.
Insight: Granted, Joe Flacco was flat-out awful, but Housh is almost an afterthought in this offense, only being targeted twice in Week 2. He's not even worthy of a roster spot at this point, having been targeted only 9 times in two games with just one reception.

Description: Ravens coach John Harbaugh says he expects WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh to play " lot" in Monday's opener against the Jets. SOURCE: Dan Kolko via Twitter
Insight: He shouldn't be looked at more then a WR3 in most leagues as he's still getting comfortable with the offense. He's getting comfortable with Joe Flacco but is still not a strong fantasy play.

Description: TJ Houshmandzadeh signed a one-year, $855,000 contract with the Baltimore Ravens on Labor Day in a move that come virtually nobody saw coming. SOURCE: ESPN.COM
Insight: What a bargain basement price for a receiver that has averaged over 80 catches per season over his last five years!! Housh joins Boldin, Mason and Clayton in the receiver rotation, and this only benefits Joe Flacco even more. Boldin's numbers likely won't be affected, but Mason and Clayton will definitely see a dip in numbers. Flacco is the big winner here.
9/6/2010 12:04:00 PM
Description: ESPN's Adam Schefter reports, via Twitter, that the Ravens have signed Houshmanzadeh to a one-year, $855,000 deal.
Insight: Houshmanzadeh could fit in as Baltimore's No. 3 wide receiver, as his skill set is similar to incumbent starter Derrick Mason. If you drafted him and have the roster space, you can hang on to him for now to see how he fits in with the Ravens. (RapidDraft.com)
9/6/2010 11:05:00 AM
Description: Judd Zulgad of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports Vikings' head coach Brad Childress said the team is not interested in Houshmandzadeh right now.
Insight: Houshmandzadeh should find a new home fairly soon after being released by Seattle on Saturday. (RapidDraft.com)

Description: Bengals HC Marvin Lewis indicated that the team has no interest in reuniting with free agent WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh. SOURCE: CINCINNATI ENQUIRER
Insight: The Bengals have good receiver depth with the signing of Terrell Owens and Housh is probably looking for a bigger role than the team can provide. The Bengals are probably glad he's gone with the reports that he had a bigger head than Ochocinco.
9/4/2010 11:04:00 PM
Description: Judd Zulgad of the Minneapolis Star Tribune mentions the Vikings as being among the teams that may be interested in signing Houshmandzadeh.
Insight: The Vikings have a need at WR, but it is unknown if they will turn to Houshmandzadeh to fill it. (RapidDraft.com)
9/4/2010 10:04:00 PM
Description: As expected, the Seahawks cut Houshmandzadeh and his oversized contract on Saturday. They signed him just a year ago to a five-year deal.
Insight: Rumored potential suitors have come up, but it's always tough to know who's generating the rumors. Housh seems likely to get a shot elsewhere at a much smaller price. Where that might be could determine any fantasy relevance for 2010. (RapidDraft.com)
9/4/2010 6:13:00 PM
Description: As soon as the Vikings released veteran WR Javon Walker and Seattle released TJ Houshmandzadeh, the rumors began to fly about TJ joining Percy Harvin and Bernard Berrian in purple. SOURCE: CBS SPORTS
Insight: Houshmandzadeh is still one of the best possession receivers in the NFL. He wouldn't be targeted as much in Minnesota as he was with Seattle, but he could be a pretty good "over the middle" target for Favre. At least until Sidney Rice comes back.

Description: As expected, the Seahawks have released WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh. SOURCE: TWITTER
Insight: The team was reportedly set to eat Housh's guaranteed money, so the release was expected. This could set up the possibility of a Vincent Jackson trade. If not, Mike Williams gets a fantasy boost as a possible starter this year.
9/3/2010 8:03:00 PM
Description: ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Seahawks will release or trade Houshmandzadeh before Saturday's deadline for final cuts.
Insight: Former first-round bust Mike Williams and Deion Branch are slated to be the Seahawks' starting wide receivers. Houshmandzadeh should have a few suitors on the open market, but his skills clearly appear to be in decline. (RapidDraft.com)

Description: There is belief that the Seahawks and WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh have reached a "point of no return." SOURCE: SEATTLE TIMES
Insight: Housh playing for the Seahawks in 2010 looks increasingly "unlikely." We didn't have much confidence in Housh this year and really didn't expect to see an increase from the 911 yards and 3 touchdowns he had in 2009. We wouldn't be surprised to see Housh cut, despite the team having to eat his $7 million salary. Vincent Jackson trade rumors are starting to pick up by the hour.
9/2/2010 6:02:00 PM
Description: Rumors are now surfacing that Housh is on the trading block.
Insight: That is good news for Golden Tate owners.
9/2/2010 5:21:00 PM
Description: There is belief that Seahawks WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh is on the trade block. SOURCE: TWITTER
Insight: Between Housh's age (32) and $7 million base salary due in 2010, no one will take that on. And they can't release him because his salary is guaranteed. Housh proved to be a terrible fit in Seattle last year and isn't expected to exceed his 2009 numbers by a wide margin. Housh on the block either means the team has big plans for Mike Williams or are revisiting a trade for Vincent Jackson.
