Insight: Lacy caught eight of nine targets for 123 yards. Although he didn't get into the end zone, his combined 182 yards made him a great fantasy play. Now if he can just do it a couple of times in a row.

Description: Packers running back Eddie Lacy had 18 touches for 59 yards and scored.
Insight: It was not a very effecient day for Lacy, who averaged just 2.8 yards per play, but the touchdown allowed him to post a decent fantasy day. The 18 touches is also encouraging.

Cold9/21/2014 4:59:00 PM
Description: Packers running back Eddie Lacy rushed just 11 times for 36 yards in Week 3 against Detroit.
Insight: Did Lacy forget he's supposed to be a fantasy stud? A first-round selection on draft day? After a fumble on the second play from scrimmage (which was returned for a touchdown by the Lions' Don Carey) and being tackled for a safety in the second quarter we saw too much of James Starks (eight carries).

Description: Packers running back Eddie Lacy did not practice Wednesday, instead watched from the sidelines.
Insight: Lacy is working through the concussion program. he seems to be on the road to a return for Week 2, but its a situation which requires more information. James Starks is the handcuff for Lacy owners should the starter not be able to go against the Jets in Week 2.

9/6/2014 12:42:00 PM
Description: Packers running back Eddie Lacy has already passed the initial step toward his return from a concussion he suffered Thursday night.
Insight: Lacy took a hard hit late in the game against Seattle and left the field. He was a workhorse last season (319 touches) and is likely to be one again in 2014, but he did miss one game last season due to a concussion so if this is another concussion its worrisome. James Starks is the handcuff for Lavy owners should the starter not be able to go against the Jets in Week 2.

Description: According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Packers running back Eddie Lacy "couldn't have looked any better" in the first week of camp.
Insight: Lacy touched the ball 319 times last season (284 carries, 35 receptions) even though he really played just 14 games (he left after one carry due to a concussion in Week 2). Green Bay probably won't have him run the ball 20 times a game again with Aaron Rodgers healthy, but he could catch more passes. Over 16 games, Lacy should handle the football at least 320 times. He's going fifth among running backs in fantasyfootballcalculator.com mock drafts.

He played through a badly sprained ankle late in the year. Even if his carries are cut down by three to four per game, he'll still end up in the 250-270 range while catching 30-40 passes.

2/1/2014 9:12:00 PM
Description: Packers running back Eddie Lacy has been named the NFL's 2013 Offensive Rookie of the Year.
Insight: Unlike some years, this was a pretty easy choice. Lacy led all rookies in rushing yards (1,178) and touchdowns (11) and finished the year as a top-five fantasy running back. San Diego receiver Keenan Allen garnered 12 of the 50 first place votes to come in second. Lacy is the first rookie since Anquan Boldin in 2003 to win Rookie of the Year after not being drafted in the first round. Boldin and Lacy were both second-round picks.

Description: Green Bay running back and Rookie of the Year favorite Eddie Lacy hasn't practiced since re-injuring his ankle Sunday against Pittsburgh. Despite his absence, Packers coach Mike McCarthy is confident he'll be able to play on Sunday. SOURCE: Packers on Twitter
Insight: Green Bay's season may depend on it. The Packers aren't sure what they'll get from Aaron Rodgers (he's returning from a broken collarbone) and Chicago's most glaring weakness this season has been its run defense (worst in the league). Lacy gashed the Bears for 150 yards and a touchdown when he faced them back in Week 9.
