Description: Von Miller's torn ACL was confirmed with an MRI on Monday. His season is over. SOURCE: Denver Post
Insight: Miller will certainly be missed but it's worth mentioning that Denver went undefeated in his absence earlier in the year (he was suspended six games for a failed drug test). Look for Nate Irving to replace Miller as Denver's starting strong side linebacker.

Insight: Miller and his urine collector tried to skew the results in his favor. Talented as he may be, Miller clearly has an appetite for his own self-destruction. Let's hope he can find a way to get his off-the-field life back under control.

Description: Denver linebacker Von Miller has been hit with a six-game suspension. Miller's initial suspension was four games, but the NFL increased it for further violations during the appeal process, according to Mike Garafolo of FOXSports.com.
Insight: Miller will return for Week 7 against the Colts. Denver's defense, which already took a hit during the offseason with the loss of Elvis Dumervil, could potentially play Week 1 without Miller, Champ Bailey and Derek Wolfe.

Description: The appeal for Von Miller's four-game suspension has been postponed.
Insight: It was supposed to be held on Thursday. Now, ESPN's Chris Mortensen says the two sides are likely to meet on Tuesday. Miller was suspended last month for violating the league's substance abuse policy. The suspension may have been triggered by missing or showing up late to a drug test as multiple sources have repoorted that Miller never failed a drug test.

Description: Broncos linebacker Von Miller was arrested on Sunday. SOURCE: ABC Denver
Insight: Miller committed a traffic violation last October but missed his court date. Miller has been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons recently. In addition to this arrest, Miller is currently appealing a four-game suspension for violating the league's substance abuse policy. Supposedly, Miller's appeal will be heard tomorrow. Despite the turbulent offseason he's had, Miller is still one of the best outside linebackers in all of football.

Description: Denver linebacker Von Miller, who was suspended for the first four games of the season, will have his appeal heard next Thursday.
Insight: If Miller's appeal is successful, he could have the suspension reduced or taken away completely. Miller was suspended for violating the league's drug policy, though it's been reported that he never failed a drug test. Denver's season opener is September 5th against the Ravens.

Description: According to the Denver Post, Broncos linebacker Von Miller did not fail a drug test.
Insight: Miller was recently handed a four-game suspension for violating the league's drug policy but apparently it wasn't because of a failed test. The report suggests that Miller's suspension could be because he missed a test or showed up late on a day that tests were being administered. Miller could have his suspension reduced or even dropped completely if he wins his appeal next month.

Insight: Miller has produced 30 sacks (18.5 in 2012-13), nine forced fumbles and an INT for a touchdown in two seasons with Denver. He's a tough challenge for any offensive line and any amount of time he misses will be a blow to the Denver defense. The Broncos open with Baltimore, the New York Giants, Oakland and Philadelphia.
