Dixon was considered a serious Heisman candidate through the first 10 games of his senior season, as he had thrown for 20 touchdowns and 2,136 yards while completing 67.7 percent of his passes...He also racked up 583 rushing yards and nine scores on the ground before an ACL injury cut his career short...That injury and a lack of bulk are the two major concerns for Dixon, who is an impressive all-around athlete...Throws the ball with zip, especially for a player under 200 pounds...Keeps defenses honest with his running ability, but it remains to be seen if he can make a full recovery from the knee injury...Spent most of his time working out of the shotgun in college, a formation rarely used in the NFL...A tremendous baseball player who may have the opportunity to play professionally...A high-risk football prospect who will likely go later than his talent suggests. |
