Description: It looks like Jay Cutler's top receiving target Brandon Marshall is staying put.
Insight: Marshall just agreed to a three-year, $30 million extension. He's caught at least 100 balls in each of his last four seasons with Cutler at quarterback, including 100 receptions for 1,295 yards and 12 TDs last season.

11/10/2013 6:21:00 PM
Description: Chicago wideout Brandon Marshall went off for 139 yards and two touchdowns Sunday in a 21-19 loss to the Lions.
Insight: The return of Jay Cutler to the starting lineup certainly seemed to help. With seven games remaining on the schedule, Marshall should easily eclipse his career-high in touchdowns (11) as long as he stays healthy.

10/4/2013 3:00:00 PM
Description: Bears receiver Brandon Marshall (foot) returned to practice Friday after missing two practices earlier in the week.
Insight: Marshall was always expected to play Sunday and is a must start whenever in uniform.

10/3/2013 4:53:00 PM
Description: Bears receiver Brandon Marshall (foot) missed practice for the second straight day Thursday.
Insight: Marshall is still expected to play Sunday, but if he doesn't return to a limited session Friday it might be time to worry.

9/20/2013 7:31:00 PM
Description: Bears receiver Brandon Marshall (back) practiced in full Friday, according to Rich Campbell of the Chicago Tribune.
Insight: Marshall left Thursday's practice with back tightness, but the fact that he was able to return to a full practice already on Friday is a sign that he'll start Sunday night against the Steelers.

9/19/2013 3:40:00 PM
Description: Bears receiver Brandon Marshall left Thursday's practice with tightness in his back, but it doesn't sound serious, according to Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune.
Insight: Marshall might put in a limited practice Friday but he's not in danger of missing Sunday's game at this point.

9/8/2013 5:03:00 PM
Description: Bears receiver Brandon Marshall had eight receptions, 104 yards and a touchdown on 10 targets against the Bengals Sunday in the season opener.
Insight: This is a stat line fantasy owners should get used to. Jay Cutler spread the ball around more, targeting Martellus Bennett and Matt Forte six times apiece and Alshon Jeffery eight times, but Marshall is still his top guy and a bona fide WR1.

9/2/2013 5:23:00 PM
Description: Bears GM Phil Emery said that in WR Brandon Marshall (hip), he sees "a guy that is better than he was last year," according to Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune.
Insight: Marshall has been dealing with some minor issues related to his hip surgery but he'll be a full go for Week 1. While we think he'll be one of the top receivers in football, it is going to be difficult to top his lofty receiving totals of 118 receptions, 1,508 yards and 11 touchdowns last season.

8/29/2013 2:49:00 PM
Description: Bears receiver Brandon Marshall (hip) confirmed on his Twitter account that he'll play Week 1.
Insight: Marshall has been practicing nearly every day and playing in preseason games, but he admitted to not being comfortable coming off his third hip surgery. Even if he's behind where he wants to be, he should be ready to post WR1 numbers come Week 1.

8/27/2013 8:10:00 PM
Description: Bears receiver Brandon Marshall said he still isn't feeling comfortable with his hip, seven months after his surgery, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. "It's one of those things where I'm just trying to get healthy for Week 1," Marshall said Tuesday. "So you've got to have a game plan coming off surgery, a third hip surgery. So yeah, I’m not where I want to be right now. It’s a little frustrating. But we'll see."
Insight: Marshall has been practicing nearly every day and playing in preseason games, but he said his conditioning has been an issue. The regular season starts in less than two weeks so this news is worrisome. Still, we expect Marshall to be ready to post WR1 numbers even if he's slightly behind where he wants to be.

6/4/2013 6:48:00 PM
Description: Bears wideout Brandon Marshall, who underwent hip surgery in January, has been cleared to resume on-field activities.
Insight: The news came directly from Marshall's personal Twitter account. Marshall was reunited with Jay Cutler in 2012 and caught 118 passes for 1,508 yards and 11 touchdowns, all of which were career highs. He should easily top 100 catches again in 2013.

4/10/2013 12:13:00 PM
Description: Bears wideout Brandon Marshall, who underwent hip surgery in January, is reportedly running again, according to a Chicago Sun-Times report.
Insight: Marshall set career highs in catches (113), receiving yards (1,466) and touchdowns (11) in 2012. He has had similar procedures on both hips in the past so this shouldn't be a problem going into next season. He's currently the third receiver off the board in mock drafts at fantasyfootballcalculator.com (behind Calvin Johnson and A.J. Green).

12/30/2012 4:21:00 PM
Description: Despite seeing 14 targets Sunday, Bears receiver Brandon Marshall only could muster five receptions for 42 yards.

Description: A great day got even better Sunday when Bears receiver Brandon Marshall caught a touchdown with 1:48 left in the fourth quarter. Marshall finished with 10 receptions for 160 yards on the day.
Insight: Marshall has had three consecutive games with double-digit receptions and now has 101 on the season in just 13 games. He's also set a new career high already with 1,342 yards. He's four receptions and two touchdowns away from setting new career benchmarks in those categories.

Hot11/8/2012 4:57:00 PM
Description: Bears receiver Brandon Marshall is sure to see plenty of double coverage Sunday night against the Texans. "They've only thrown it to one guy basically," Houston DC Wade Phillips said. "They do a great job of that. We're going to double cover him every play." SOURCE: Tania Ganguli, Houston Chronicle
Insight: We're sure Marshall is used to getting special attention from opposing defenses but it hasn't hindered him much this season -- he's on pace for 118 receptions, 1,594 yards and 14 touchdowns. Houston has only allowed 18.4 fantasy points per game to opposing wideouts this season, 10th least in the NFL, but Marshall owners shouldn't be too worried.

Hot11/4/2012 7:14:00 PM
Description: Chicago receiver Brandon Marshall recorded three touchdowns Sunday in a 51-20 victory over Tennessee.
Insight: Marshall has surpassed the 100-yard mark in three of his last five games and already has more touchdowns than he did a year ago when he was on the Dolphins. He's a must-start in all fantasy formats.

10/7/2012 7:38:00 PM
Description: Bears receiver Brandon Marshall has 19 catches for 282 yards yards and two touchdowns in his last two games.
Insight: Fantasy owners might have been worried after Marshall only had two catches for 24 yards in Week 2 and five for 71 in Week 3, but he's turned in elite WR1 numbers in each of the last two games.
