Final Score: Cleveland 6, Buffalo 3
Orchard Park, NY (Sports Network) - Billy Cundiff's 18-yard field goal

6-3, at a blustery Ralph Wilson Stadium.
Jamal Lewis gained 117 yards on 31 carries for the Browns (1-4), who finally
gave new head coach Eric Mangini his first victory with Cleveland.
"This is a lot better feeling up here today. I couldn't be happier," Mangini
said to start his post-game press conference. "I knew we were going to have to
run the ball a lot with the wind being more of a factor as the game went on,
and we did that well."
Derek Anderson put forth his worst start as a pro, producing career-lows
with 2-of-17 completions for 23 yards and one interception.
Trent Edwards was 16-of-31 for 152 yards and a pick for the Bills (1-4), who
have dropped three in a row.

for Buffalo, which engaged in its lowest-scoring contest since an 8-0 loss at
Cleveland on December 16, 2007.

minutes to play in the contest. On the punt, Buffalo's Roscoe Parrish
mishandled the ball as it spun on the turf, allowing Browns linebacker Blake
Costanzo to recover on the Buffalo 16.
Lewis gained 10 and a first down on a 3rd-and-9 from the 15, then made it to
the one on 3nd-and-goal from the four with 26 seconds to play. From a time
out, Cundiff got the call for an 18-yarder and was true for a 6-3 game for the

own 40. Edwards hit Lee Evans for four yards before an incompletion, then
Lynch caught a pass on the final play of the game which was finally ruled dead
after multiple laterals.
"We're very disappointed, I must say. To be in the game and have a chance to
win it that late is a big letdown for everybody," said Bills head coach Dick
Cundiff drilled a 24-yard field goal midway through the second quarter to
break the scoreless deadlock, capping a seven-play, 47-yard drive.
Buffalo drove into Browns territory on the following series, but with the wind
still whipping, the Bills chose to pass up a long field goal and go for it on
4th-and-24 at Cleveland's 31 with 1:32 left to no avail. The visitors were
unable to move the ball before the half.
The Bills got on the board when Lindell hit from 36 yards out on the opening
drive of the third quarter and both teams failed to break the tie through the
third period and into the fourth.
