Description: 1500 ESPN reports that the Knicks are pursuing a trade for Timberwolves point guard Luke Ridnour.
Insight: Minnesota doesn't need three point guards and out of the three (J.J. Barea, Ridnour and Ricky Rubio) it seems like Ridnour is the most likely to be traded. The Knicks' current point guard Raymond Felton (14.9 ppg, 6.3 apg) plays more than 34 minutes per game, which wouldn't leave much time for Ridnour (12.3 ppg, 3.9 apg) to contribute.

2/10/2013 8:34:00 PM
Description: Timberwolves guard Luke Ridnour scored 17 points with four rebounds, four assists, one steal and two threes Sunday versus Memphis.
Insight: Ridnour has scored 37 points over the last two games. Unfortunately, when Minnesota has four healthy guards Ridnour cannot be relied upon as more than a fantasy backup. J.J. Barea should be able to return soon from a back injury.

1/26/2013 10:28:00 PM
Description: Minnesota guard Luke Ridnour made 9-of-14 from the field (3-5 3PT) for 22 points with seven rebounds, seven assists, one steal and one block Saturday versus Charlotte.
Insight: Ridnour has held onto a starting job because the Timberwolves never seem to have four healthy guards. He's averaging 14 ppg in January.

12/16/2012 11:22:00 AM
Description: Minnesota PG Luke Ridnour scored 15 points Saturday and is averaging 13.9 ppg during a current streak of nine straight double-digit scoring games.
Insight: Ridnour has been a solid fantasy option but his numbers could soon be on the decline. Ricky Rubio made his season debut Saturday after recovering from ACL surgery and will likely move into the starting lineup soon, leaving Ridnour to compete for backup guard minutes with J.J. Barea.

12/12/2012 11:02:00 AM
Description: Minnesota PG Luke Ridnour will likely see a big drop in his playing time and statistics when Ricky Rubio returns from knee surgery which could be as soon as Wednesday against Sacramento.
Insight: Ridnour has averaged 11.5 ppg, 2.8 rpg and 4.6 apg.

4/19/2012 5:42:00 PM
Description: Luke Ridnour (ankle) is out on Thursday.
Insight: Timberwolves coach Rick Adelman said Sunday is the earliest Ridnour would play. Minnesota has just two games left after tonight, so it's safe to cut Ridnour loose if you haven't already. Even if he suits up in the final two games he's unlikely to play major minutes.

4/17/2012 8:20:00 PM
Description: Luke Ridnour is continuing to tend to his sprained ankle. He's hoping to return to the Timberwolves lineup on Sunday against Golden State.
Insight: That's too long to wait for a player with as limited fantasy value as Ridnour (12.1 ppg, 4.8 rpg). Cut the chord with Ridnour and try again next season.

4/3/2012 9:42:00 AM
Description: Minnesota's Luke Ridnour injured his right ankle in the third quarter of Monday's game against Sacramento. He's expected to miss at least one game, according to Yahoo! Sports.
Insight: With Ricky Rubio done for the year, Ridnour upped his scoring and assist averages in March. J.J. Barea (thigh )is expected to return on Wednesday, so he's worth an add if you have Ridnour or need a point guard.

3/26/2012 9:07:00 PM
Description: With Ricky Rubio gone for the year and J.J. Barea not making the road trip to Memphis and Charlotte, Luke Ridnour will be Minnesota's primary point guard Tuesday night against the Grizzlies.
Insight: Ridnour has been dealing with groin, back and nose injuries but he's still the least banged up of the Timberwolves' point guards, so he'll get the start Tuesday in Memphis. Ridnour had one of his best scoring games of the year against Denver Sunday night (25 points). If Ridnour can keep scoring at that kind of clip, there's some really fantasy value to be had here.

Hot3/12/2012 2:10:00 PM
Description: Luke Ridnour is the primary point guard with Ricky Rubio sidelines for the remainder of the season with a torn ligament in his left knee.
Insight: While Ridnour will share some of the playing time with J.J. Barea, Ridnour is averaging 38 minutes-per-game since the Rubio injury. In his last two games Ridnour is averaging 12 ppg anf 9.8 apg and is a very good fantasy option from here on out.

1/29/2011 11:21:00 PM
Description: Jonny Flynn got more action than usual by playing 25 minutes and contributing a line of 10 points six boards, eight assists, and two threes in the easy win. Luke Ridnour was on the short end of the minutes distribution with only 17 that produced just four points, four boards, three assists, and a steal.
Insight: We liked Flynn a lot a couple months ago and this could be something that develops into a major change. Obviously fantasy owners shouldn't cut any player with more than negligible value for Flynn, but this should be watched very closely.

1/21/2011 6:01:00 PM
Description: Ridnour skipped today's practice due to a sore hamstring.
Insight: Ridnour has been excellent lately so hopefully this is more of a precautionary move than anything. Ridnour is averaging 14.6 points, 3.4 rebounds, 7.6 assists, 1 steal and 1.7 threes over the past two weeks. (RapidDraft.com)

12/30/2010 12:18:00 AM
Description: Luke Ridnour had yet another good game with 20 points, eight dimes, two steals, and a three in 37 minutes.
Insight: Jonny Flynn played 11 minutes and did not score. This is almost shocking that Flynn is being so buried at this point of the season, but the stats don't lie and Ridnour should be owned in most leagues. Feel free to cut Flynn.

12/26/2010 8:56:00 PM
Description: Luke Ridnour knocked down a career-high five three-balls on his way to 23 points, five boards, six assists, and a steal in 28 minutes.
Insight: The patient owners that have been holding out for Jonny Flynn must be reaching wit's end after this game. Flynn wasn't terrible with 11 points, four assists, and a three in 20 minutes and is still worth owning in deep leagues.

12/11/2010 11:03:00 AM
Description: Ridnour had 20 points and ten assists in the Timberwolves' win over the Pistons.
Insight: Ridnour has gradually increasing his effectiveness since returning from a hip injury. He has 19 assists in his last two games. (RapidDraft.com)

11/25/2010 9:03:00 AM
Description: Ridnour returned to the starting lineup against the Spurs and had seven points and five assists in 41 minutes.
Insight: Ridnour replaces Sebastian Telfair in the Timberwolf lineup and should be looked at as a lower tier point guard. He is hitting 40% of his three-pointers and averaging ten points and 3.8 assists. (RapidDraft.com)

11/17/2010 1:00:00 PM
Description: Ridnour is ready to return from a hamstring injury, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune. The Timberwolves next game is on Wednesday against the Clippers.
Insight: Ridnour has not played since Nov. 7, but should return to the starting lineup soon. (RapidDraft.com)

10/30/2010 1:00:00 PM
Description: Ridnour had an efficient game against his previous team in the Timberwolves' win over the Bucks. He had 13 points, six rebounds, seven assists, and two steals.
Insight: Ridnour won't put up eye-popping numbers, but as long as he remains the Timberwolves' starting point guard, he'll be fantasy relevant. (RapidDraft.com)

10/28/2010 1:05:00 PM
Description: Ridnour led the Timberwolves with 20 points in their opening game loss to Sacramento. He added two three-pointers, five rebounds, and six assists.
Insight: Ridnour had a very effective season with the Bucks in 2009-10. He shot a career-high 47.8% from the field and no one really expected that to continue. Maybe it can and if so, he makes for a decent bench filler for fantasy teams. (RapidDraft.com)

9/22/2010 10:05:00 AM
Description: Ridnour will play heavy minutes in the beginning of the season with Jonny Flynn out.
Insight: The Timberwolves still have Sebastian Telfair on the roster to back up Ridnour, but the former Buck could put up decent numbers in the early going. Last year, he averaged 10.4 points on 47.8% from the field and four assists in 21 minutes. (RapidDraft.com)
