Description: Guard Jimmer Fredette has signed a deal with New Orleans.
Insight: Fredette finished last season averaging 5.6 ppg between Sacramento and Chicago. He's proven to be useless to fantasy owners because of limited minutes and not being able to fill up a box score.

Description: Jimmer Fredette's buyout with the Kings is official, according to nba.com.
Insight: The Kings took Fredette 10th overall in 2011 and proceeded to play him 15 minutes per game the next two and a half seasons. He has averaged an impressive 16.8 points and 2.5 threes per 36 minutes in his career and may be able to establish some fantasy value as a 3-point gunner if he lands with the right organization.

Insight: Fredette's two and a half year tenure in Sacramento didn't produce many highlights and it will be interesting to see who goes after him in free agency. The Knicks could be a possibility, especially now that Raymond Felton is facing gun charges. Fredette has averaged 5.9 ppg this season while shooting 49.3 percent from three-point range.

Insight: He should be able to play Wednesday. Fredette is coming off a career-high 24-point game last Wednesday at New York and could see more minutes at shooting guard with both Marcus Thornton and Ben McLemore shooting under 39 percent from the field this season.

Insight: He'll become a restricted free agent. Fredette hasn't panned out in the NBA, producing just 7.4 ppg in 130 games. Though he's not a true point guard, Fredette could be valuable to a contender because of his three-point shooting (38.4 percent from downtown in his career).

Description: Kings guard Jimmer Fredette hasn't played in the past two games and was the only active player not to see time Monday against New Orleans. SOURCE: Sacramento Bee
Insight: Fredette benefited from injuries to several Kings guards but now that the team is fully healthy there he isn't getting into the game. Fredette is behind Isaiah Thomas and Aaron Brooks at point guard and Tyreke Evans and Marcus Thornton at shooting guard.

Description: Kings guard Jimmer Fredette has scored in double figures in seven of his last nine games. He had 14 in 23:34 Tuesday against the Pistons.
Insight: Fredette has been getting more playing time as a backup guard as Tyreke Evans, Marcus Thornton and Aaron Brooks have missed time due to injuries. Evans is out indefinitely so give Fredette a chance if you need threes.

12/29/2012 10:39:00 AM
Description: Kings guard Jimmer Fredette is averaging 13.1 ppg in 19 mpg over his last seven games. He's turning in 22.4 points per 36 minutes this season.
Insight: Fredette has been getting more playing time as a backup guard with Tyreke Evans out. However, Evans potential return Sunday will give Sacramento six capable guards -- Evans, Marcus Thornton, Isaiah Thomas, Aaron Brooks, Francisco Garcia and Fredette.

12/20/2012 11:31:00 AM
Description: Kings guard Jimmer Fredette has scored at an 18.5 ppg pace his last two games.
Insight: Fredette has produced double-digit points in three straight games despite playing just 18.5 mpg in that span. The second-year guard is seventh in the NBA in points per 48 minutes (30.7), but that doesn't help fantasy owners.
