Description: Portland point guard Earl Watson is questionable for Tuesday's game against Houston with a strained left calf.
Insight: Watson has yet to play this season and finds himself buried on the depth chart behind Damian Lillard and Mo Williams. His fantasy value is zero.
2/2/2013 9:19:00 PM
Description: Jazz point guard Earl Watson is out indefinitely after an MRI revealed a small stress fracture in his right leg.
Insight: Watson is a terrible shooter (30 percent for the season) but a decent ballhandler and a solid distributor (4.2 apg). With that said, he only plays about 18 minutes a game so fantasy owners shouldn't miss him too badly.
4/9/2012 9:19:00 PM
Description: Earl Watson's MRI on Monday revealed a torn medial meniscus. Watson's injury is expected to require surgery.
Insight: A torn anything is never good. We probably won't see Watson on the court again until next season. If you added Watson last week when Devin Harris got injured, drop him immediately.
3/25/2011 12:12:00 AM
Description: Earl Watson looked good in the start by handing in a line of 14 points, eight dimes, a steal, a block, and three triples in the loss to New Orleans.
Insight: Well, we called it. Devin Harris should be back this weekend and Watson can now be let loose in the majority of leagues. It's also worth noting Gordon Hayward looked good in 37 minutes with 13 points, five dimes, and a three. He is worth a scoop in deeper formats with AK-47 dinged up at the moment.
3/23/2011 11:48:00 PM
Description: Earl Watson only handed out one assist on the down side, but was able to produce 10 points, three steals, and two triples on the plus side.
Insight: The one assist is terrible in 33 minutes. However, owners should definitely be happy with the five goodies tonight. Devin Harris is going to be questionable for tomorrow and Watson should clear 30 minutes again and should fare better against the Hornets.

Description: The Jazz have signed Earl Watson to a guaranteed contract. SOURCE: Salt Lake Tribune
Insight: Watson will serve as Deron Williams' backup ahead of Ronnie Price. Deron Williams hasn't been the healthiest of players recently, so Watson could emerge as a very nice scoop in the event of a D-Will injury.

Description: Watson has agreed to a contract with the Jazz.
Insight: Watson is a nine-year veteran who will play behind Deron Williams and Ronnie Price. Not much fantasy value unless injuries beset the Jazz backcourt. (RapidDraft.com)

Description: Watson worked out for the Jazz, according to the Salt Lake Tribune.
Insight: The Jazz already have three point guards on the roster, but the nine-year veteran may join their camp. Watson played for the Pacers (his fourth NBA franchise) last year and averaged 7.8 points and 5.1 assists. (RapidDraft.com)

Description: The Jazz are reportedly working out Earl Watson to become Deron Williams' backup. SOURCE: Salt Lake Tribune
Insight: Utah only has Ronnie Price behind D-Will right now and Watson would certainly be an improvement. Either way, Watson doesn't hold enough value to be drafted in all but the deepest of leagues.
