Description: San Antonio F/C Tim Duncan won't be available for Wednesday's regular season finale. SOURCE: Jeff McDonald, San Antonio Express-News
Insight: He's getting a breather before the playoffs. Boris Diaw (9.2 ppg, 4.1 rpg) is going to see more minutes with Duncan (15.1 ppg, 9.7 rpg) out.

4/11/2014 1:14:00 PM
Description: Spurs F/C Tim Duncan (rest) will sit out Friday against the Suns.
Insight: This is just coach Gregg Popovich following his usual strategy. Duncan played 39 minuters on Thursday on a sore knee so he'll get the night off. The Spurs will divide Duncan's minutes among Boris Diaw, Tiago Splitter, Jeff Ayres and Matt Bonner.

Description: Spurs F/C Tim Duncan (rest) will sit out Saturday against the Warriors, according to Sam Amick of USA Today.
Insight: Duncan hasn't missed a game since Feb. 19 at Portland but played 34 minutes Friday at Sacramento. The Spurs will divide Duncan's minutes among Boris Diaw, Tiago Splitter, Aron Baynes and Jeff Ayres (Matt Bonner is also out with a calf strain).

Description: Spurs coach Gregg Popovich is giving Tim Duncan a breather Wednesday versus Portland. SOURCE: Chris Haynes, Comcast Sportsnet Northwest
Insight: The last time Duncan (15.6 ppg, 10.1 rpg, 2.0 bpg) sat out, the Spurs went with four guards in the starting lineup. Things could get just as crazy on Wednesday. Stay tuned.

Description: Former Nuggets coach George Karl is hearing that Spurs forward Tim Duncan may retire after this season. SOURCE: Marc Weinreich, Sports Illustrated
Insight: Duncan hasn't made any public mention of this, so we'll take this rumor with a grain of salt. Certainly with the way Duncan's been playing (15.6 ppg, 10.0 rpg, 2.1 bpg), it looks like he could last another five years in this league.

2/8/2014 10:50:00 AM
Description: San Antonio power forward Tim Duncan sat out the second game of a back-to-back, but should be back on the court Saturday.
Insight: Duncan played 40 minutes the previous game (31 points, 11 rebounds) and was in complete control. Blame his absence and the hole in your lineup on "Pop."

Hot2/6/2014 1:52:00 PM
Description: San Antonio power forward Tim Duncan was unstoppable Wednesday in an overtime win over Washington, but will sit out the second game of the back-to-back Thursday versus Brooklyn.
Insight: Duncan will join Tony Parker on the bench, leaving the Spurs without their top two stars. Tiago Splitter and Matt Bonner will eat up the big man minutes with Patty Mills and Cory Joseph running the point.

Hot2/5/2014 10:28:00 PM
Description: San Antonio power forward Tim Duncan was unstoppable Wednesday in an overtime win over Washington.
Insight: He led all players in scoring with 31 points on 13-of-20 shooting. Duncan also provided 11 rebounds, five assists, two steals and three blocked shots. If Tony Parker's back injury proves to be serious, Duncan could become the team's go-to scorer. Fantasy owners should consider the Big Fundamentalist a must-start until further notice.

2/4/2014 12:03:00 AM
Description: Spurs PF/C Tim Duncan rejected six shots against New Orleans on Monday.
Insight: Duncan is averaging more than 2.0 blocks per game for the second straight season. He had 21 points Monday and has scored in double figures in 15 straight games.

2/2/2014 10:19:00 AM
Description: Spurs forward Tim Duncan didn't play like his age Saturday in a win against Sacramento.
Insight: The 37-year-old notched 23 points, 17 rebounds, two blocks and five assists to help San Antonio snap a rare three-game losing streak. Duncan (15.0 ppg, 10.1 rpg, 2.0 bpg) is one of just two players in the league averaging at least 15 points, two blocks and ten rebounds per game. Anthony Davis (20.4 ppg, 10.3 rpg, 3.3 bpg) is the other.

1/29/2014 10:08:00 AM
Description: San Antonio power forward Tim Duncan had a double-double at the half Tuesday against Houston. Unfortunately, he scored just two points after the break as the Spurs fell to the Rockets 97-90.
Insight: Duncan ended up with 12 points, 14 boards and four blocked shots. San Antonio has lost three of four, though Duncan has been productive during that stretch (16.5 ppg, 11.5 rpg, 2.5 bpg). Keep in mind, two of those losses came to Miami and Oklahoma City.

1/24/2014 10:38:00 PM
Description: Tim Duncan dominated the Hawks Friday in a 105-79 Spurs victory.
Insight: In only 27 minutes, Duncan racked up 17 points, 16 rebounds and four blocked shots. The 37-year-old remains as efficient as ever with season averages of 14.6 ppg, 9.9 rpg and 2.0 bpg.

1/8/2014 10:32:00 PM
Description: San Antonio power forward Tim Duncan only took eight shots Wednesday against Dallas but he made all six of his free throw attempts and was able to finish with 16 points, 13 boards and two blocked shots.
Insight: Just like Tony Parker, Duncan saw 29 minutes of action on Wednesday. If it had been a closer game, Duncan, who had played 32 minutes or more in each of his previous three outings, probably could have gone a bit longer. The 37-year-old is averaging close to a double-double (14.5 ppg, 9.8 rpg).

1/7/2014 10:44:00 PM
Description: Spurs forward Tim Duncan has grabbed double-digit rebounds in 12 of the past 14 games after doing it twice in the first 18.
Insight: Duncan had 24 points, 17 rebounds, four assists, two blocks and one steal over 38 minutes in an overtime win at Memphis Tuesday.

12/27/2013 9:12:00 AM
Description: Spurs forward Tim Duncan had 21 points, 13 rebounds, three assists and two blocks Thursday at Dallas.
Insight: After averaging just 11.3 points on 39.2 percent shooting and 7.0 rebounds in his first 13 games of the season, Duncan has returned to formwith 16.6 ppg, 11.9 rpg and 2.1 bpg with a .495 shooting percentage over his last 14.

Hot12/14/2013 8:13:00 PM
Description: Even though the Spurs are playing their fourth game in five days, Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili and Tony Parker all will play Saturday, according to Mike Monroe of the San Antonio Express-News.
Insight: Coach Gregg Popovich said all Spurs besides Tiago Splitter (calf) will play. Splitter will miss his third straight game. Duncan has put up 17 points, 11.6 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.7 blocks per game while shooting 57.6 percent from the field over his last seven games.

12/14/2013 10:06:00 AM
Description: Spurs forward Tim Duncan produced a huge stat line Friday against the Wolves.
Insight: It included 12 points, 14 boards, eight assists, three blocks and a couple of steals. Most of Duncan's numbers are down from last season but that's to be expected from a player in his 17th year of NBA service.

12/11/2013 10:28:00 PM
Description: Tim Duncan hung 21 on the Bucks Wednesday in a 109-77 Spurs victory.
Insight: Duncan was superb, knocking down 75 percent of his shots while hauling in 16 rebounds in just 24 minutes of court time. The big man is as efficient and intelligent as any player in the league, even in his late 30s. He's going to go down as one of the greatest power forwards to ever play the game.

12/2/2013 10:51:00 PM
Description: Tim Duncan dropped 23 points on Atlanta Monday in a 102-100 Spurs victory.
Insight: He also corralled a season-high 21 rebounds. Even at age 37, Duncan continues to be a double-double waiting to happen.
