Notes:
2006: Selected by Minnesota in 2nd round (36th overall) of the NBA Draft...2007: NBA All-Rookie Second-Team...2008: Re-signed with Minnesota to a two-year deal worth $5 million...2009: Traded to LA Clippers in a four-player deal, July 20th...2011: Signed with Portland to a one-year deal, Dec. 15th.

NBA DRAFT ANALYSIS: Named Third-Team All-American by the AP after his senior season with Boston College and was also placed on the All-American Second-Team by the NABC...Smith helped push the Eagles to a school-record 28 wins in 2005-06 and was part of 96 victories during his four years in Chestnut Hill...Finished his career first on the school`s all-time rebounding list with 1,114 boards and was second in scoring with 2,349 points...As a senior he averaged 17.6 points and 9.4 rebounds per game for BC before suffering a wrist injury against Villanova in the NCAA Tournament...Smith had surgery on his left wrist less than a week later, which could easily scare off several potential suitors at the NBA level because he might not be an impact player right out of the gate...Earned Big East Conference First-Team honors as both a sophomore and junior and was on the Second-Team and a member of the Big East All-Rookie squad as a freshman when he set a school record with 617 points...Smith plays with a lot of intensity and effort in the paint, but his size dictates that he should probably be out on the wing at the pro level.
