Almost a third of his made field goals during that stretch have come from beyond the three-point line (19-of-59). If Melo keeps this up, he might be able to catch Kevin Durant for the scoring title by season's end.

1/24/2014 9:56:00 PM
Description: Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony had the game of his life Friday in a 125-96 win over Charlotte. The seven-time All-Star finished with a career-high 62 points on 23-for-35 shooting.
Insight: The 62 points are a new Madison Square Garden record. It's also the highest point total ever recorded by a New York Knick. He was 6-of-11 on three-pointers and 10-of-10 from the charity stripe. The crazy thing is, it could have been even more as Melo sat out the final eight minutes with New York leading by almost 40. In typical Melo fashion, he did not have any assists. The win snapped a five-game losing streak for the Knicks.
