3/30/2014 7:24:00 PM
Description: Caron Butler has played 28 minutes per game since he joined the Thunder, but he has averaged just 9.8 ppg on .368 shooting in that timeframe.
Insight: Butler did have 15 points on 5-of-8 shooting (5-5 3PT) Sunday against the Jazz and he has played 26+ minutes in each of the last seven games.

3/3/2014 5:33:00 PM
Description: According to Darnell Mayberry of The Oklahoman, Thunder guard Caron Butler will be available to play Tuesday and may even start at shooting guard.
Insight: Butler signed with the Thunder after clearing waivers Saturday but didn't play Sunday because of the weather. With Thabo Sefolosha out for 4-6 weeks with a calf strain, Butler is worth a look in deeper leagues. Reggie Jackson also will continue to play starter's minutes with Sefolosha out, while Jeremy Lamb and Perry Jones will receive extra playing time as well.

2/28/2014 5:49:00 PM
Description: Caron Butler agreed to terms with the Thunder and will sign with them when he clears waivers on Saturday.
Insight: Butler has missed six of the last eight games with a sprained ankle but should be able to return soon. He'll take minutes away from Jeremy Lamb and Thabo Sefolosha, but not enough to be a fantasy option.

2/27/2014 5:18:00 PM
Description: The Bucks completed their buyout of Caron Butler's contract on Wednesday, according to Charles F. Gardner of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Insight: Butler has missed six of the last eight games with a sprained ankle. Khris Middleton, Giannis Antetokounmpo and O.J. Mayo will see more minutes now that Butler is gone. He's expected to sign with the Heat or Thunder and wouldn't have fantasy value with either team.

2/25/2014 7:14:00 PM
Description: The Bucks are discussing a buyout of Caron Butler's contract, according to Gery Woelfel of journaltimes.com.
Insight: Butler has missed six of the last eight games with a sprained ankle. He has averaged 24 mpg, 13.3 ppg, 4.4 rpg and 2.0 3pg the last 10 games he played. If he's bought out, it would mean more minutes for Khris Middleton, Giannis Antetokounmpo and O.J. Mayo.

Insight: It's a recurrence of the high ankle sprain Butler suffered earlier this month. He also missed Saturday's game so fantasy owners should have seen this one coming. Nate Wolters (6.9 ppg, 3.5 apg) will grab another start at shooting guard for the lottery-bound Bucks.

2/23/2014 3:20:00 PM
Description: Milwaukee small forward Caron Butler (ankle) is questionable for Monday's game but will travel with the team to Philadelphia, according to Charles F. Gardner of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Insight: Butler warmed up for Saturday's game to test his sore ankle, but he was ruled out after playing 30 mpg and averaging 19 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4.0 threes the last two games. He previously sat out four straight games from Feb. 5-12 with a high ankle sprain.

2/22/2014 8:31:00 PM
Description: Milwaukee small forward Caron Butler (ankle) will miss Saturday's game, according to Bucks announcer Ted Davis.
Insight: Butler and Brandon Knight were true game-time decisions. They both warmed up and the team didn't make a decision until right at 8:30 p.m. Butler played 30 mpg and averaged 19 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4.0 threes the last two games, but he's still dealing with ankle soreness. Khris Middleton will see more playing time with Butler out.

2/18/2014 10:31:00 PM
Description: Milwaukee small forward Caron Butler played well Tuesday in his return from an ankle injury.
Insight: Butler produced 21 points off the bench. Incredibly, 13 of his 15 field goal attempts (including all seven of his made field goals) came from beyond the arc. He'll have another chance to shoot the lights out Thursday versus Denver.

2/17/2014 6:59:00 PM
Description: Bucks forward Caron Butler (ankle) practiced Monday and is probable for Tuesday's game, according to Charles F. Gardner of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Insight: Butler missed the last four games due to a high ankle sprain. He has played just 20 minutes per game since the start of January and can be dropped in all leagues.

2/11/2014 5:54:00 PM
Description: Bucks forward Caron Butler (ankle) will not play Wednesday against New Orleans, according to Andrew Gruman of foxsportswisconsin.com.

2/4/2014 5:10:00 PM
Description: Bucks forward Caron Butler is out indefinitely due to a left high ankle sprain, according to Gery Woelfel of journaltimes.com.
Insight: Butler has played just 20 minutes per game since the start of January. His minutes will be absorbed by multiple players, including Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton and Ersan Ilyasova.

Description: Bucks forward Caron Butler suffered a sprained left ankle Monday against the Knicks, according to Andrew Gruman of foxsportswisconsin.com
Insight: Butler has played just 20 minutes per game since the start of January. If he has to miss a game his minutes will be absorbed by multiple players, including Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton and Ersan Ilyasova.

1/31/2014 9:41:00 PM
Description: Bucks forward Caron Butler had 20 points, four rebounds and four threes Friday at Orlando.
Insight: With John Henson sidelined by a sprained wrist and Ersan Ilyasova limited to 20 minutes with a leg injury, Butler saw 29 minutes Friday. However, the Bucks rotation is constantly changing and no one can really be trusted.

1/22/2014 10:39:00 PM
Description: Caron Butler helped the Bucks snap a nine-game losing streak by scoring 30 points Wednesday in a win over the Pistons.
Insight: That represents Butler's highest point total since his 38-point explosion against the Sixers back in November. Butler had missed Milwaukee's previous game with an illness.

1/19/2014 6:03:00 PM
Description: Bucks forward Caron Butler may miss Sunday's game due to illness, according to Charles F. Gardner of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Insight: Over the last five games, Butler had one DNP-CD and averaged just 12 minutes per game the four games he was active. He voiced his displeasure with his backup role this week. "The information I received before coming here is that 'You're going to play a lot,'" Butler said. "And I want to play. I want to be out there to help the situation."

1/11/2014 10:56:00 PM
Description: Bucks forward Caron Butler was a DNP-Coach's Decision Saturday against the Thunder.
Insight: Butler played just 25 minutes combined the previous two games and didn't leave the bench Saturday. Fantasy owners can cut him loose -- the Bucks need to give minutes to their young swingmen like Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton as well as guards O.J. Mayo and Luke Ridnour.

12/21/2013 7:06:00 PM
Description: Bucks forward Caron Butler (knee) will return Saturday.
Insight: Butler missed the last 12 games due to a knee injury. He's put up 13.2 points, 5.6 rebounds, 1.0 steals and a career-high 2.0 threes per game this season.

12/20/2013 7:38:00 PM
Description: Bucks forward Caron Butler (knee) will miss Friday's game.
Insight: Butler was hoping to return Friday and warmed up for the game but was unable to play. It will be his 12th straight absence.

12/19/2013 3:11:00 PM
Description: Caron Butler traveled with the team to Cleveland and expects to play on Friday night. The Bucks small forward has missed the last 11 games with a swollen knee. SOURCE: Charles Gardner, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel
Insight: Butler was posting 13.2 ppg and 5.6 rpg before his injury. The emergence of Khris Middleton and Giannis Antetokounmpo during his absence could prevent Butler from playing big minutes upon his return. In the fantasy game, there are much better options at small forward.
