Name  Grant Hill
Born  10/5/1972
Height  6-8
Weight  225
College  Duke
6/2/2013 4:49:00 PM
Description: Grant Hill retired on Saturday.
Insight: Hill spent 19 seasons in the league with four different teams. Injuries limited the seven-time All-Star to just 29 games this past season.
1/12/2013 3:08:00 PM
Description: Clippers SG/SF Grant Hill (knee) will play for the first time this season on Saturday against the Magic.
Insight: The oft-injured Hill won't offer fantasy owners much production. He'll be limited at first and will play behind Matt Barnes and Caron Butler.
1/9/2013 11:45:00 AM
Description: Clippers SG/SF Grant Hill is listed as questionable for Wednesday's game against Dallas. He's been dealing with a bone bruise in right knee and has yet to play this season.
Insight: Hill will be a game-time decision. Even if he makes it to the floor, Hill figures to be limited in his minutes by coaching decision as well as the talent in front of him on the depth chart. He's not likely to be a factor for fantasy owners this season.
12/20/2012 8:48:00 PM
Description: Clippers small forward Grant Hill is hoping to return to action sometime in mid-January, the Los Angeles Times reports.
Insight: Hill has been on the shelf all year with a knee injury. The Clippers have been cruising without him so Hill probably won't receive a lot of playing time upon his return. We doubt he'll be a factor in fantasy this season.
10/24/2012 10:10:00 AM
Description: Los Angeles Clippers forward Grant Hill is going to miss opening night and more after an MRI showed a bone bruise. He said his injury will keep him out at least a couple of weeks.
Insight: Hill started 343 of his 362 games in Phoenix averaging 12.1 ppg over the span. He and Jamal Crawford were expected to cover the SG position until Chauncey Billups returns in November.
7/17/2012 9:40:00 PM
Description: Forward Grant Hill has agreed to a two-year deal with the Los Angeles Clippers. Hill had spent his previous five seasons as a member of the Phoenix Suns.
Insight: Hill started 342 of his 362 games for Phoenix but we wouldn't expect him to have a starting role with Los Angeles next season. Last year in his 17th NBA season, Hill averaged a career-low 10.2 ppg in 49 games.
4/23/2012 6:08:00 PM
Description: Grant Hill had his knee drained and wasn't unavailable to practice on Monday. He is questionable for Tuesday's tilt in Utah.
Insight: Clearly Hill, who has only played in two games this month, is wearing down. Jared Dudley (12.7 ppg) would get the start at small forward if Hill can't play Tuesday.
4/18/2012 5:56:00 PM
Description: Grant Hill (knee) is not expected to play on Wednesday.
Insight: Shannon Brown will continue to start and is likely to get 30-plus minutes with Hill out. Brown has averaged 15.8 ppg in 12 games since he moved to the starting lineup on March 27.
4/16/2012 9:56:00 PM
Description: Grant Hill, still recovering from a recent knee surgery, won't be in the Suns lineup tonight against Portland.
Insight: Shannon Brown (15 ppg in his last five games) will continue to start at small forward for Phoenix. Hill, who returned from surgery on Friday, averaged just 4 ppg in his two games over the weekend.
4/13/2012 6:01:00 PM
Description: Grant Hill (knee surgery) will come off the bench Friday night against Houston. This is Hill's first game since March 25th.
Insight: It's probably not a permanent move but expect Shannon Brown (10.6 ppg) to stay in the starting five until Hill proves he's 100 percent.
4/12/2012 3:59:00 PM
Description: Grant Hill is slated to play Friday night against the Rockets but it's uncertain if he'll be immediately reinserted into the starting lineup.
Insight: Head coach Alvin Gentry probably isn't in a rush to move Shannon Brown (16.3 ppg in April) out of the starting five because of how well he is playing right now. Hill isn't a fantasy home run to begin with so this news just makes a shaky fantasy player look even shakier.
4/10/2012 7:43:00 PM
Description: Grant Hill plans to return to the Phoenix lineup Friday night against the Rockets. Hill had surgery on his knee late last month and has missed the Sun's last eight games.
Insight: That doesn't necessarily mean that Hill will be back in the starting five his first night back. Jared Dudley (12.6 ppg) should still see a good amount of minutes Friday as head coach Alvin Gentry eases his aging star back into the lineup.
3/30/2012 4:28:00 PM
Description: Grant Hill had surgery Friday to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee. Hill's injury was originally thought to be just a strain. Hill has missed the Suns' last two games.
Insight: Hill is hoping to return before the end of the regular season, and if Phoenix wants to make the playoffs, he'll probably have to. For now, you can expect Jared Dudley (12.7 ppg) and Shannon Brown (9.7 ppg) to both receive more playing time for the Suns.
3/28/2012 9:35:00 PM
Description: Grant Hill hasn't tested out his knee yet, but the Suns have listed him as "probable" for tonight's game against the Clippers.
Insight: Hill was inactive for Tuesday night's game with a right knee strain. He's had a few relatively productive games in the past week (19 points against the Heat and 22 against the Pacers) so he could be fantasy-worthy depending on what your situation is at small forward.
2/27/2011 2:55:00 PM
Description: Grant Hill played the part of Ponce De Leon by finding the Fountain of Youth in Indiana with his gem of 34 points, nine boards, four assists, a steal, a block, and four threes in 44 minutes.
Insight: Hill doubled his minutes from the 44 against the Raptors on Friday and the four threes were a career high for the Duke product. He and guys like Anthony Parker are highly undervalued in fantasy leagues and are well worth owning in competitive formats.
1/20/2011 12:01:00 AM
Description: Hill had 27 points, 12 rebounds, and two assists tonight.
Insight: Some owners dropped Hill after he missed a couple games with a sore knee and he burned them bad by scoring over 20 points in three straight games.
1/15/2011 4:05:00 PM
Description: Returning from a sore knee, Hill had 21 points, seven rebounds, three assists and two threes on 9-of-14 shooting.
Insight: This is great news for Hill owners in fantasy leagues. Hill is quietly having a nice season for the Suns. (RapidDraft.com)
1/11/2011 5:03:00 PM
Description: Hill (knee) will not play tonight agasinst the Nuggets. Josh Childress will start in his place.
Insight: He's also questionable for Wednesday's game right now. (RapidDraft.com)
1/10/2011 4:04:00 PM
Description: Hill's knee is still sore, but he is still expected to play Tuesday.
Insight: He's missed just one game in the last three seasons and is determined to play tomorrow. (RapidDraft.com)
12/19/2010 11:01:00 PM
Description: Hill had a season high 30 points tonight against the Thunder. He also collected 11 rebounds in the win.
Insight: Hill is averaging 14.2 points per game this season which is his highest average since coming to Phoenix. (RapidDraft.com)
